http://news.nate.com/view/20100629n03856?mid=c0200 lol he has to stay behind in south africa because of this reason ... I'm happy for him, but a little surprised because I thought the Celtic coach didn't like asians... eg. not starting Ki for 2 months.. Maybe he wants to keep Ki now and use Cha so that Ki's not the only korean in the team. I'm happy for him but wanted him to go to EPL ... maybe it's a bit late now for him at 30.
yeah, definitely a downgrade for him. but i guess if celtic figure some things out, they can make the champions league next year.
Celtic is in the Champions League, but they have to start from the third round, and they will need some strings of luck in order to qualify to the group stage. They will face one of Zenit St. Petersburg, Ajax, Fenerbahçe, Dynamo Kyiv, and SC Braga. If they manage to win that, then they face one of Tottenham, Sevila, Sampdoria, Werder Bremen, and Auxerre for a spot at the group stage.
Well, If Ki's gonna get benched constantly, I'd rather him leave and find some 1st team playing time.
Only time can tell my friend...If Ki situation becomes the same in the upcoming season, then it would be right to leave. Hopefully Cha's arrival can help him mentally.
I heard that Ki and Duri are close friends.. lol.. I just googled Ki sung yong and found his facebook page lol... his profile pic has him and Duri together lol in their KNT gear I'm 100% correct that this is his page. All of his friends are hidden http://www.facebook.com/people/David-Sung-Yueng-Ki/1255947574 Cha Duri's facebook page with his daughter You can find some pics with his wife as well here http://www.facebook.com/people/Duri-Cha/1766107966
WOW if these are real, you've just hit the jackpot my friend. Those photos fro 'Duri Cha' is gold. I hope its real and i believe its real. I mean all those photos, it has to be...
lol speaking of Ki, he used to go to the same school as my friend. I'm from NZ but used to live in Australia lol and Ki played soccer in Aus for 4 years.. I guess the grass helped his freekick (very hard to find grass in korea.. btw) apparently he wasn't that much of a star at his school, and my friend's surprised to know that he actually became a 국가대표... I mean, my friend seriously regrets giving up on soccer.. and how he could have become a pro if he continued with it. lol.. Ki was pretty lucky to get into FC SEOUL though, his dad is associated with Huh in some way. I guess networks are always helpful in Korean soccer. (eg. Duri cha... he probably wouldn't get that much attention from Korean public if he was just an ordinary player.. but the fact that he's the son of Cha Beom Guen is what makes him stand out..)
You can get doors opened for you but you've got to make your own way. Not saying Ki or the DR are world class but someone is paying them for their services and it's not family.
