Our guys were tuning-up but now they are ready to kill, how will be the next victim? W connection? Ok, we are ready for the prey.
Connection get easier time at CFU Championship Source: Trinidad Express After receiving a rough welcome to Puerto Rico, things have got considerably easier for W Connection after they learnt on Friday afternoon that Fruta Conquerors out of Guyana have pulled out of the the Caribbean Club Championship, due to financial reasons. This now means W Connection FC will only have to get past the hosts Puerto Rico Islanders and the Antiguan Champions Hoppers FC, if they are to progress to the next round of tournament. Connection are seasoned campaigners at this level, having won the Caribbean Club title back to back in 2001 and 2002, and were runners up in 2003. When they arrived in Puerto Rico however, Connection who were forced to spend almost six hours marooned outside a training facility because the teams' management refused to accept the accommodation promised to them. Because of the Fruta Conquerors pull-out however, they will now have a few extra days to prepare for their first match against Hoppers FC tomorrow. That game is scheduled for the national stadium in Bayamon at 8 p.m. They will then meet hosts Puerto Rico Islanders on Wednesday. Coach Stuart Charles Fervier was pleased on hearing the news. He told ttproleague.com, "This is good news for us, it gives us a little more time to prepare, however, at the same time we have to play two games in three days, so we have to maximise the next couple days and prepare ourselves both physically and mentally." "We will also have an opportunity to watch our opponents who play on Saturday night. I assure you we will be ready when we take the field."
I just like to say congrats to the Islanders B for winning the Nacional Cup yesterday against Don Bosco with a score of 5-4, with this tittle the Islanders and Don Bosco are the teams to represent PR in the CFU next year. IF Don Bosco refuses to play the Third place winner Fraigcomar FC would take its place.

Jabloteh punishes Sap FC in Caribbean Club Championships By Rando Bando (ttproleague.com) TT Pro League’s CL Financial San Juan Jabloteh cruised to a 4-0 victory on Sunday against Antiguan club Sap FC at the Lionel Roberts Stadium, US Virgin Islands in their first Group D match of the Caribbean Club Championship. As expected Jabloteh opened the scoring midway into the first half with a 25th minute strike from Trent Noel and topped off with three other goals in the second half from Lester Peltier 47th, Peter Prosper 70th and tied Pro League top scorer Anthony Wolfe in the 90th minute. The ‘Antiguan Boys’ failed to capitalize on a penalty in the second period when Jabloteh’s goal keeper Durance Williams pulled off a magnificent save to keep a clean sheet for the San Juan based team. But it wasn’t all wins to the Pro League Club as defender Keston Pierre’s time on the field was short lived after he was fouled in the first half, suffering a harsh knock on his right ankle forcing him to retire five minutes after the injury. Manager of the Jabloteh team Azad Khan told ttproleague.com, “It is already clear that we are the strongest team in the group. We dominated the entire ninety minutes against Sap FC and scored four goals. We even displayed quality goalkeeping when Durance Williams saved their only real chance which was from the penalty spot,” said Khan. Khan also believes Tuesday’s match against SV Britannia is going to be an easy win for the San Juan based team saying, “We will easily win again on Tuesday and continue to display top football.” “I have seen the other teams SV Britannia who we will play in our next match and New Vibes play and they are both good teams but not as good as our (San Juan Jabloteh) team. SV Britannia has three skillful players to watch out for but doesn’t match the number of skillful players we have at Jabloteh.” “I have to say that the field on the other hand is a very unpredictable one seeing it is a baseball field. It is full of green on one half and dry on the other with a pitchers mount and gravel on the sidelines which is bad for both teams playing on the night.” “But it was great to see that a country mainly of Baseball and Basketball were able to come out in hundreds to support the football,” added Khan. On another note Manager Khan said, “We will know later today whether or not injured defender Keston Pierre would be able to play against SV Britannia on Tuesday and how serious is his injury,” ended the Jabloteh Manager. In the other Group D match between SV Britannia of Aruba and home team New Vibes ended in a 1-1 score placing the TT Pro League team San Juan Jabloteh at the top of the Group after the first match. In the second match of the group stage CL Financial San Juan Jabloteh will take on SV Britannia and Sap FC will pair off with New Vibes both matches at the Lionel Roberts Stadium, US Virgin Islands.
Baltimore Sportif beats Deportiva Banda Abou 4-0 in Caribbean Cup Monday, December 11, 2006 Dumel Decius scored a hat trick to lead Baltimore Sportif of Haiti to a 4-0 win over Deportiva Banda Abou of Curacao in Group B of the Caribbean Football Union Championship. Striker Dumel Decius slammed in a first-half hat-trick for the Haitian team, who dominated proceedings from start to finish. Decius, whose pace was always going to be a problem for the Banda Abou back line, struck from close range in the sixth minute. He then sprinted away from the back line, before poking the ball over the head of advancing Deportivo Banda Abou keeper Jarzinho Pieter in the 26th minute, after collecting a return pass from teammate Baril Joseph. Decius completed his hat-trick on the stroke of half-time after collecting a pass from teammate Emerlin Nicolas six yards away from goal. Lesca Cileus completed the scoring for the Haitian team with a goal in the 61st minute. http://www.haitiwebs.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41326
Hoppers 0 - W connection 5, it was a terrible game, Hopper looked like they hadent recovered from Saturdays game and W Connection just wasent to par with what was expected of them. Unless they where playing with reserves it looks like W Connection its gonna be having a very difficult time against the Islanders. Regardless this match is gonna be good.
yeah the W Connection - Puerto Rico Islanders game is gonna be a highly contested match, good luck to both clubs
W connection was cruising in that game, and they won easily. There's no competition in W Connection's group. I saw a game with them in the TT Pro-League they are much better than the opposition in their group. So the reserves will get a run again.
They were obviously "great" enough to become CFU champions twice and runners up with a club only in its 7 year history. I honestly think they will rape your team because that opposition is much weaker than what they're used to playing against. They will take their foot off the gas and still win comfortably.
Well that dosent make sense. If W connection was so bad then why did they beat a team 5-0 when the islanders only one 3-1 (dont use that lame tired excuse) If I were u Id be worried that they played so "badly" and won more convincingly. From the match reports Ive read it seemed that connection missed several opportunities including a ridiculous bicycle kick form one of the braziliians early in the game. Maybe the report I read was as biased as you and warlord are
Islanders 0 - 1 W Connection from lucky shot over our golie, W C has not created any more opertunities Islanders have about 70% ball control but have not been able to break through the defense and a one sided ref., its the 30min.
Props to W Connection golie he is being battered by the islander atackers but has manage to save every single one.
Half time what i can say its about 60% Islanders ball control just because W C as relagated to defending their lead and playing in the back alot. 3 shots by WC and about 10 to 13 by the Islanders most of them on target but as i said earlier props to the WC golie, his a wall.
almost 25min of half break and WC hasnt come out of the locker room who the hell do they think they are?!They had to sent a ref to get them.
