Well to be fair the people that did the colonizing and enslaving died out long time ago.

Obviously if you think that the sins of the father gets passed on to the sons, then yes you can go ahead and claim "Can't say they don't deserve to be "overrun" for what they did".

Now for those of us that live in these countries, you could argue we are the beneficiaries of that exploitation, but then that leaves countries like Poland, Sweden, Hungary, ect. off the hook. Does that mean the citizens of those country have the right to complain about immigrants in their countries?

Yes. But there are also other factors: living standards and cultural/religious norms for example.

Thanks for being honest.

I come from a country that was a imperialistic nation. most countries were imperialistic back then, if they were capable of being that of course. We colonized our neighbours and parts of Europé though, not Africa. Funnily enough We're not considered to be indebted or have a historical guilt towards those other European nations.

It's funny how that works.

Anyway regarding colonization. The entire African continent wasnt colonized. You should look into those countries that were never colonized.

- In the West: economic living standards are still the number 1 factor in what a nation is expected to contribute "back to the human race yadda yadda".

- If your fatherland was thriving economically [I am assuming No] then you would be expected to open your doors to EU migration.

Whether culture shapes society or the other way around: I don't think it's coincidence nations such as England/France/Italy are the most diverse in Europe and had/have the biggest colonizing rap sheets.
