    Jorge "el magico" Gonzalez(El Salvador)
    Costa Rica.
    Guatemalan League.
This is a hard one as you have Los Rojos, Cremas both from Guatemala, Saprissa and La Liga from costa rica, Olimpia from Honduras.
Best wages have been in Guatemala.
    Best Infrastrcucture has been Guatemalas.

    Current
There are many good players in CA like Ruiz,Wanchope,Tyson Nunez,Carlos Pavon, and others but I dont want to make a list.

Best national I would have to say Costa Rica and then Guatemala.

The best league is ours of course(Guatemala) and costa rica.

Best club right now is Municipal since they won the Central American crown but I would say Saprissa and Comunicaciones, liga are up there too.

The best wages are in Guatemala.

I think Guatemala has the best infrastructure in CA and I think we can do better, then Costa Rica.

How can you say that Costa Rica is historically better than the other NT considering that Honduras and El Salvador had qualified to 2 WC before Costa Rica had even seen a WC?

I know that El Salvador is in bad shape now.

    • reason 1-You should know that history is from the first soccer match ever in CA to lastnight games, so i see it like this, HON, ES, and CR have been in 2 WC's, and who has had a better performance? I think you can answer that to yourself
    • reason 2-Cause CR has a positive record against all the other nations (not sure about HON)
    • reason 3-world ranking
    • reason 4-Other international tournaments, like PANamerican games, Olympics, Copa America, youngworlscups, Gold Cups
    • reason 5-every centralamerican knows and admits that.

But dont you have to take into account world cup participations as well. El Salvador and Honduras qualified out of CONCACAF when it didnt have 3 slots. Granted, El Salvador qualified for the 1st time in 1970 because Mexico was hosting the event. But even then, it was open for every one.

Thats always good and sure it can be used for bragging rights. IIRC, Norway has Brazil's number. The point is that if Costa Rica was the top dog in Central America from a historical standpoint, it took them literally 20 years and a poxy suspension (Mexico's cachirules) for them to see the WC.

I do think Costa Rica is the better team to date, but i question it historically because you have to give El Salvador and Honduras credit.

Most central americans that I know (Hondurans and Salvadorans) always state the fact they they qualified when the area didnt have 3 slots. (by saying that, they also admit that they arent as good as they were because they should be qualifying with 3.5 slots

ur out of your mind firsrt off costa rica isnt the best, second if u go to HON they ll say their team is better, if u go to el salvador they ll say their team is better and so on and so on. In central america eveybody hates costa rica not cause their good but because u people think ur better than everyone. Honduras better then CR historicaly. ARRIBA GUATE, dale ROJO.

    the slot-issue....thats your point ah....

How many games have Norway and Brazil played? 2, 3, 4 or 5? That doesn't count, if i talk about a positive record is because they have played a lot of games against each other. Maybe HON has a similar record with CR, i admit that i am not sure, but i know for sure about the rest of the countries.

    I agree

You should increase the number of international friends...what about some ticos there?

The only country that can compare to CR in clubs history is Guatemala
The only country that can compare with CR in national teams history is Honduras

Can somebody post some information about Jorge "el magico" Gonzalez (El Salvador), i see him on everybodys list, and i have just heard of him a couple of times before.
    who did he play for?

I nominated Alejandro Morera Soto, a costarican that won the scoring title with Barcelona (La Liga) along long time ago.

Yeah my bad, I misread the website.. this is what it actually says..

"En 1989 jugo en plan de prestamo en el Barcelona F.C. para una gira por Los Estados Unidos (New York) . En ese entonces en Barcelona F.C. jugaba Diego Maradona y el tecnico era el Argentino Cesar Luis Menotti."

Pretty much he was on loan to Barcelona when they tour the USA in 1989.
