Hell, I’m not sure McNamara isn’t better in this 10 role than Martinez.

Too bad, would have been nice to go back to Mexico 0-0 with some hope of a shot at a miracle.

Goal 1. Fuenmayor for not tracking his man, Willis for not meeting or at least closing down a fairly obvious return ball back to the top of his 6

Goal 2, Beasley isn't that great a man marker on an island

Tigres is quality . . . but sad to see the Dynamo fans outnumbered by so much - 2008-2013 it would have been closer to 50-50 fans (maybe 60-40 Tigres, but Dynamo would not have felt like they were playing in Monterrrey)

Game has opened up in the second half and ultimately not to our benefit.

But if this was battling uphill imagine the away game. We'd have basically had to play for 180 minutes of 0-0.

I was working on some things during the 1st half, but did catch the announcer making a crack about Wonderwall being sung

Its the 17th place team from MLS vs. the most expensive concacaf side ive ever seen. It’s gone pretty much as expected.

2 v 2 plus the keeper and he ball watched the wall ball, trust your teammate, don't try to be a hero, stay goal side. You only shade to ball if you are 1 v 2 and the wide guy walks into the net unless you move to ball.

actually its by design. for having a Brasilian manager, Tigres is very disciplined. they know it'll come so they don't over extend.

Play the A team for the league games and send the B team down to Monterrey, we're toast. Game effort but ultimately outclassed by their offense vs our defense. Two class goals.

You only send the A team to play to win and go 433 and who gives a flip what the score ends up. You go down there in a 451 to avoid embarrassment and you might as well send the B team to try it for all the good it will do.

It seems to be a give up move but the Dynamo aren't winning down 2 away goals in this series. Need to get the home point for MLS

    hot takes

it was easily 20-1 tigres fans in the stadium. no exageration

quioto is a hot steaming pile. congrats buddy, you just earned you a nickname--poo

This is the second time poo walked off the other side of the field pouting and went straight to the locker room. don't come back poo. we don't need you or your terrible Kamara attitude. Your terrible crosses and inability to break any defender down will not be missed

Joe willis is a damn man!

we were beat by a side that is light years better than us, plain and simple. the talent they put on the field has never been matched by the dynamo and certainly isn't matched by this current team. we were always going to lose this game and it's commendable that we made it respectable

    PS

when does the transfer window open?

Where were you sitting? 20-1 seems a bit pessimistic to me — was sitting in section 210.

More like 98%-2% Tigres fans tonight in my opinion. Based on team payroll we may have out hit our weight tonight by only losing 2-0.

We have a steep road ahead. Looking for an Ajax-ish result in the away match!
