I think this is where the stream will be for the game on Yahoo! Sports website: https://sports.yahoo.com/soccer/concacaf-champions-league/guastatoya-houston-dynamo-115745/ I don't quite get how UDN online works.
This country is incredible. Just spent a day at some ancient ruins and then the UNESCO Heritage site of Antigua. Really nice time. Weather here is perfecto. Cuisine is fantastic. I’m eating like a king. (Actually, the seafood dish I had last night was described as a traditional dish for royalty.). We watched a volcano erupt (from a distance) and had a tremendous time. Several soccer fans recognized Dynamo on my shirt and stopped me to talk about the game. Not many Guastatoya fans in Antigua. Antigua lost to Guastatoya in the finals. Our tour guide/driver is a footy fan so he is going to dinner and the game with us tomorrow night. I hope to come back some time and bring my wife just to see more of Guatemala and spend more time. Fantastic. The football fans I meet that mention the game all say they plan to go to the game.
I really want to see him go up against proper CONCACAF...get the full experience while he is here...and to see if he really is an orange card.
Decent defensive team but they like to run up the back of legs and in a better reffed game would have about 3-4 yellows by now. Repeat infringement is supposed to be an ordinary foul issue, not a lumberjack excuse. We need Elis to run at them, but the guy on his side is decent. A halfway bright coach would move him around to get away from the marker. That and we could use some diagonal or crossing runs instead of everyone standing around. We have improved in the ability to whack the long diagonal ball wide. But we lack an incisive ball, just a little too predictable and direct. Cabezas is playing well. The rest are just too crude. Defense is playing ok, delagarza isn't moving the ball fast enough and getting caught on the ball. He is also the one to go after on the run but they only tried like twice. 0-0 might suffice for our two leg purposes but to me this is a fairly low powered defensive team that we should still be scoring on if we had any punch.
We’ll see if we really have a defensive upgrade. Last year’s Dynamo I’d be betting heavily on a Guastatoya equalizer.
Yea, given the Dynamos propensity to give up points in the last 10 minutes of a game you'd have think they'd do that in central america... but here we are.
WAY TO GO BOYS! Road victories in CONCACAF play are very trying to secure. So hats off to Wilmer for getting the tactics correct and even more praise for Beaz and the players! And speaking of old man Beasley, what a spanker of a right footed blast that was from our veteran! HOLY SHNIKEYS!!! DALE DYNAMO!
