Corona, Garza and Arriola get the start today against Honduran side CD Victoria. Kevin Hoyos will be starting in the midfield for CD Victoria. Game starts at 10 ET. http://espnfc.com/us/en/gamecast/378181/gamecast.html?soccernet=true&cc=5901 Edit: Herculez Gomez might be making his debut tonight, as a sub. He is not listed on ESPN's match center but he tweeted something suggesting that he is there. herculez gomez @herculezg 1h It's go time.. #Xolos #CCL #Debut ✌️✌️
Arriola almost scores in the first minute with what would have been a "golasazo" according to the commentator. It was from the inside right of the area and hit the upper left post.
Garza has a chance that is knotted down from the left side of the 6 yard box and headed across goal, but no one is home. Good start for Tijuana! This should be a good game.
It's crazy that Arriola could have had 2 goals and an assist, but I can't remember the commentators saying Corona's name except when announcing the starting lineups. Arriola is the real deal.
Goal Tijuana in the 17 th min. Arriola is a future USMNT player. His skills and vision is like no other, plus he is fast.
Joe Benny is dispossessed at the top of the area and Arriola appears to be playing more centrally (in a striker role) since his initial success in the match.
Arriola almost with the MLS assist with an incisive ball that finds his target who subsequently crosses to a teammate in the 6 that was defended well.
Commentators are talking about all the Americans on Tijuana when a Tijuana player blows a clear chance. Put through on goal and about 9 yards out fires wide. And the conversation turned...
Arriola reminds me a lot of Donovan. I wouldn't be opposed to Klinsmann calling this kid up. He is a better player right now than Corona. If Corona is going to be called up as a winger/attacking midfielder, Arriola should as well.
