Perhaps, but in my opinion, Roma deserves a lot of respect. If we finish second, it is basically the same as finishing third or fourth. But Roma will finish third or fourth, and even if not, it is admirable that they chose to give it a fight on more than just one front. If all goes well, by the end of the season they will have achieved CHL again. Furthermore, they sent Barcelona home, man that was amazing, who would have ever expected that? If Napoli and Juventus were brave enough to concentrate less on the league, perhaps the league would be much more interesting, without being 17/21 points ahead of the competition. The desire of Juventus to win the league all the time has been clouding their judgment, for I believe that they could have already won CHL if it were not that important for them to win SA.
We should have at the very least made the R16 and semi's of the Coppa Italia. I was amazed at how well Roma played against Barca but we are still better than they are imo. The difference between us Roma and Juventus is that Juventus have a bench that can win the scudetto while ourselves and Roma have a bench that would compete for Europa League spots-midtable finishes.
