Giovinco was misunderstood in Juve. For the way we play he fits the role of one of the front 3 well. We ourselves have witnessed how shit Higuain has always been for Juventus whereas he for us played at a level where only Ronaldo and Messi performed equally or better, he was phenomenal for us under Sarri - so why is it so hard to believe a player like Giovinco can perform differently this time in a system that fits him better? We're not talking about just any MLS player, we're talking about the best one of them if what I hear is true - granted I've never watched a game of MLS in my life lol. + if im not mistaken MLS have a big break soon so we can bring in Giovinco for free while Milik is out.
That's a different argument, one which I can understand. I see your point, as I can also imagine him doing well in our formation, with our system and mentality. However, I still wouldn't see him in such a great light, there are too many factors involved for this to work out, but I guess it could truly work, but he would have to prove himself all over again, and moreover, he would have to get used to an entirely different level all over again. But there his experience could help him and speed the whole operation up. But still, the best one of the MLS is like average in the top leagues, or at least that how I perceive it. But perhaps I'm wrong and it actually means more than I would think to be the best player overseas. For free it wouldn't be that bad, most definitely worth a try, as it is a fact that we do not have too many other alternatives.
Leading scorer with Parma on 15 goals and 11 assists in 2011/2012. He never fit into what Juve wanted from him. I won't go on about him, but I see what I see, and believe he is better that what many think, especially when used properly to let him be his creative self.
If Giovinco is free I say let's try him. He's not bad for a replacement. Someone who can give Mertens a break against the teams at the bottom half of the table
Giovinco struggled for game time unde Conte the same way insigne did at the euros. He cannot fit small/physically weak creative players up front unfortunately
Giovinco is also on a massive salary. I'm not sure if it's still the case, but he was making more than anyone in Italy when he first signed with Toronto.
To lose 6-2 at home with one man up is pathetic. Udinese are disgusting. Juve have now more goals than us.
The bottom half really is bad. Benevento, Spal, Udinese, Milan, Verona, and Crotone should probably all be in Serie B.
I watched the game, they probably deserved about 5-6 but Samp deserved 3-4. This game easily could have ended 6-3 or 6-4
