The announcers have spent several minutes discussing the rumor about the USMNT contact with the Tijuana keeper. They also mentioned that Castillo and Corona have represented both Mexico and the US.

America dominating possession and creating most of the chances. Castillo has put in a solid effort thus far. Most of America's best chances are coming down Tijuana's right flank.

Tijuana looking much stronger in attack now. Both Corona and Castillo having positive impacts. Game in 38th minute.

Nice play by Castillo where he drew the foul and set up a close free kick.

    Holy golazo.

Corona had a part in the small build up to it.

Cirilo Saucedo stated this week that he has had contact with the national team staff.

Evidently his mom was born here. If he's eligible he should get a look.

Saucedo is a very good keeper. He's never met a cross he didn't like. He gobbles even the best crosses up and has the presence of mind to immediately start the attack. Saucedo does come with a pinch of riskiness; he can be overly aggressive at times but his cat like reflexes outweigh the aggressive nature. Just as I type this he makes an outstanding save, driving low to his right to thwart a near perfectly placed headed from America. Amazing how quick he got that low.

Harsh. Harsh. Penalty. In stoppage time, no less. Ball was served in towards the back post. the America player was already reaching, throwing his body towards the ball and the Xolo player had a slight shoulder in the back. From the refs perspective it probably did look like a foul.

But the ball never lies and it was skied over the bar on the ensuing penalty. Justice. Justice for the Xolos!!! :D

Great win for Tijuana. Every time I see them play I like them more and more. They have a quality players but they have a real fighting spirit about them. They appear to have a real chemistry and overall like for each other. They don't act like spoiled kids when things don't go their way. They just battle through it.

I would really like to see Saucedo be Tim Howard's backup over Guzan who is getting no PT and Rimando.

Tijuana is looking promising this year, Castillo had a very assuring performance. He didn't take people on like he did last year, but he was much more composed defensively. Wouldn't it be amazing if Tijuana featured 3 (possibly 4 with Garza) yanks? that would be the real club america haha
