Even the commentators are talking about quitting the job after seeing a game like this lol. :D

EDIT: And now the references to the 1982 Austria-West Germany game.

My original prediction about Martinique was correct, but everything else was off.

im just glad we're back in the gold cup...facing top teams in concacaf will only help us improve

why so serious about the out come of the cuba grenada game ?...cuba has always been grenada's closest friend in the carribbean...our hospital were built by the cubas, our first football stadium were built by the cubans.....when the U.S invaded Grenada cuba was the first island that sent help then they were captured by the U.S... we even take prisoners off they're hands when their prisons are over crowded..if you go to the prison in grenada now you'll see a lot of cuban prisoners sent over by the cuban government. so they probably said we're both in with a tie so why risk any injuries.

grenada has always stood up for cuba and cuba has always done the same.

The Grenada government has called on the United States to end its decades’ old trade and economic embargo against Cuba. Foreign Affairs Minister Peter David told the 64th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) that Washington should end the embargo that has brought untold hardship to the people of the Caribbean Communist country.
“The maintenance of the 40-year economic embargo against Cuba and the failure to bring into being a homeland and state for the Palestinian people, despite numerous and unanimous United Nations Resolutions on both, remain a deep concern for they violate the spirit and letter of international law on which this organization is founded.”
President Barak Obama has in recent weeks made overtures to Havana, but the leadership in that country has described them as too little and insist on talks aimed at ending the embargo.

I don't think this game has such a political background.

    The main reason was:

Grenada needed a point to qualify for gold cup, so they tried to make their defence safe and didn't risk anything.

Cuba needed a point to win the group, so they tried to make their defence safe and didn't risk anything.

==> and when two teams don't risk anything the result is a game like we saw last night between Cuba and Grenada

we can bow out now and i wouldn't be that mad. it's not that i don't want us to win this Caribbean cup but competition in the gold cup and getting there consistently is much more important.

    What are your predictions?
    I think:
    Guadelupe - Antigua & Barbuda 2:0
    Jamaica - Guyana 2:0

Grenada will be the whooping boys again...seeing as this Gold Cup will be for a Confederations Cup ticket..so the stakes are higher which means..A-Teams...

who plays first and who plays second today?

Ah, the Digicel website says that the game is actually set to start at 18:45 local time (5:45pm EST). CONCACAF TV's working now.

0:0 but few offsides for Guadelupe seemed to be questionable

Well deserved goal. AB after first 15-20 minutes was in the defending mode for the rest of the half. It is a fair result.

Anyone think Guadeloupe will keep attacking? Just because if they only win 1-0, and somehow Guyana beats Jamaica, then the Golden Jaguars will take the last semifinal spot on goal difference.

Wow, these commentators are clueless.

So at this point, Antigua's out, while Guadeloupe is going to need a favor from Jamaica, because Guyana just needs to win and they're in.
