Vitals Walsall FC (2nd FL1) v. Chelsea FC (15th BPL) Wednesday, September 23, 2015 Banks's Stadium TV: HBO PPV ($89.99) Form and head-to-head Walsall FC: WLLWD Chelsea FC: WLLWW Chelsea FC, 9-1-1 historic Notes -John Terry will start -Costa out, Falcao in -beer pairing: midweek fixture, so need to keep it light. Victory Prima Pils (PA)
Stab at starting XI: Begovic Azpi--Zouma--Terry--Baba --------Mikel--RLC--------- Remy----Oscar-----Kenedy Falcao Ugh.
I agree. But Jose usually puts some experience into these lineups and I was struggling to figure out who that would be. Maybe Cesc. If Falcao starts and I'm Remy, I'm pissed.
Agreed with your backing of Remy. Over and over and over again all we ever hear is how if you play well and you work hard you can get into Jose's team. Remy fully deserves to start some games.
Have an always tricky trip to the Geordie land on the weekend, so need to be careful about who plays this match. Hope we see some young legs.
I think Jamal gets the start in goal. No need to risk an injury to Begovic, plus Jamal is going to need some match time in case something does happen. I think we'll trot out a 4-3-3: Blackman Dave-Pappy-JT-Baba Ramires-Mikel-RLC Traore-Remy-Kenedy
As much as a lot of us would like to see these guys play, I doubt it'll be right off the bat. They may come in as subs. 1. Jose doesn't rotate much. 2. Changing too much of a lineup screws a lot up. 3. See our lineup from last years corresponding fixture against Bolton. It's pretty strong with a few changes. Cech, Filipe, Zouma, Ake, Oscar, Mikel, Schurrle, Salah, Remy, Cahill, Azpilicueta
i'm all oktoberfest, all the time, for the next month or so. we need alcohol pairings for every match thread.
lol. Does HBO even do PPV? Just didn't feel like grabbing TV info. It's actually going to be on beIN. A channel I can only get by subscribing to 15,467 fishing and spainish-language networks.
Chelsea: Begovic, Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry (c), Rahman, Mikel, Ramires, Kenedy, Loftus-Cheek, Remy, Falcao.— Chelsea Youth (@chelseayouth) September 23, 2015 4-3-3, no? Or weird 4-2-3-1?
actually, wouldn't be surprised to see RLC in the #10 role. he's done it before at youth level. could even be a 4-4-2, but i doubt it. 4-3-3 makes the most sense though, with Remy probably preferring to be a wide forward than a wide mid.
Looks like the club's official post has it shaped up to be a 4-2-3-1 with Ruben as the 10. Hope this is the opportunity it should be to keep boosting confidence after the Arsenal win. My heart is telling me it'll be a thrashing, but my brain is telling me it'll be a slightly nervy 3-1 win. A tad surprised Begovic starts too
