Current results in Atlantic Canada have the Liberals holding 31 of 32 Seats with the sole one with the Conservatives. Not surprising as it was seen that the region was going for the Liberals in any event.
3 now that Global has called. People here in BC are gonna be pissed because they called it before the voting ends here,
Now its a seems to be a Liberal majority government. Good thing I transferred funds to my TFSA tonight.
Harper has announced his resignation as leader of the Conservative Party. Current Seat projections (Vote %) Liberals 185 (39.8%) Conservatives 102 (32.1%) NDP 40 (19.2%) Bloc Quebecois 10 (4.9%) Green 1 (3.2%)
Congrats Canadia. I hope that your election of the son of a former leader works out better than ours. (*) (*) John Quincy Adams, of course. Who did you think I was talking about?
While that would be true, we didn't do better. Mulclair would be far better, but he doesn't make a good selfie.
Bit premature to say either of this yet, no? Looks like Elizabeth May won her riding, so the Greens have 1 seat.
Remember, we pride ourselves on not doing the stupid things Americans do politically. She has it until the planned LNG goes boom and take out her riding.
Well the Canada people had a choice Stimulus or austerity (even the NPD was claiming they would try to balance the budget if elected). The people of Canada voted Stimulus. http://www.economist.com/news/ameri...stin-trudeaus-liberals-win-big-now-comes-hard The issue is that regardless, Canada is suffering because of low prices/demand for their natural resources, as long as the price of oil remains low, Canada was going to struggle with the budget. Maybe the NPD will learn a lesson and stay on the left and not try to become centrist next time.
