Your right even with a tie the US is out but do you think going in 1-1 the US were gonna play for a tie? Ghana went in to the half found out that Italy was up 1-0 and the Chechs are also playing with 10. So knowing this they could sit back and protect a 2 goal lead. Let me fill you in to what happened they didn't attack had a couple counters and lost the ball diving and faking injuries. Thats futbol I know it happens, but it would have been a totally different game going in 1-1, while the US was dominating that game. Well sh!t happens. On ESPN them saying that this was "the best US team ever" was right. I don't think they said it for more gringos to watch or maybe they did but this is definitely the most talented US squad ever. Now most knowledgeable US fans knew there was a slim chance of getting out of the group but they were there till the last day and played well in all but the game against the Chechs. We had a tough group and I will hold on to the fact that we got sh!t on by the ref and It could have been a different story. I'll just say what I say about Colombia, we will just have to wait till next time.

hayder palacio por un lado - su deber era darnos salida por ese lado gerardo bedoya por el otro lado - mismo deber + tiros libres frente al area rueda luego ensayo con pasos (cuando salio bien del tolima), andtes de eso hasta le dieron chance a roberto carlos cortez con esa funcion (que le quedo grande) y en la ultima gira llevo al pealo morenito del Pasto el lesionado zuñiga tienia esa funcion en selecciones....siempre le jugamos al carrilero, que ellos no han respondido es otra cosa!
En mi opinion humilde, hay gran diferencia entre la labor de un lateral defensivo y un carrilero. Es que en el 4-4-2 o 4-5-1 que hemos jugado con Maturana y Rueda hay mas responsabilidad defensiva y por lo tanto los muchachos no han podido cooperar en la ofensiva con la excepcion de Palacio que en algunas ocasiones lo ha hecho bien. Zuniga en la sub20 es un buen ejemplo de un carrilero puro, jugando por la banda con ida y vuelta. Falta ver si en la seleccion de mayores volveremos a jugar 3-5-2 (creo que la ultima vez fue con el Chiqui Garcia cuando jugabamos con el Patron, Cordoba y Yepes de centrales). Ojala llegue a jugar esa funcion en la seleccion de mayores. A proposito, alguien sabe si jugara en Atl. Nacional esta temporada?
eso se presta para ese mantenimiento de pelota que no crea oportunidades de gol, necesitamos un enganche bueno y 3 delanteros: Rey- Rodallega -falcao (o renteria) el cuatro -3-3 tradicional del WC06 muestra que lo podemos asumir con el presonal que tenemos ahora
No se Efer, en mi opinion se esta hablando mucho de 4-3-3 en este mundial pero la linea de tres en la delantera que describen se refiere a un esquema con dos extremos y un centrodelantero (el ejemplo classico es Portugal con C.Ronaldo, Pauleta y Simao/Figo)(otro seria Holanda que juega con Robben - Van Nistelrooy - Kuyt). Este sistema funciona precisamente porque genera velocidad por las bandas a traves de los pies de C.Ronaldo y Robben. Sugiero jugar por las bandas precisamente para evitar el enfasis en pases que no generan oportunidades. Ya sea 3-5-2 o 4-3-3 tenemos que llegar al arco con mas frecuencia y ser mas dinamicos.

Cristiano para mi fue el mejor jugador joven sin duda anque el pelado no suelta el balon y messi no lo jugaron lo suficiente para estar entre los mejores en este torneo, pero el chino tambien juega.
