    Hey mods,

Just noticed we got moved, officially, over to the MLS Clubs section.

    Hooray... and all that.

Can we have our full name represented now? Instead of just "Portland" which is what it says now, can we get it to say "Portland Timbers"?

Semantics, I know, but it's irking me real bad.

One more step in the process until MLS First Kick: listed as a MLS club for a bunch of ravin' fanactical BSers.

But yes, time to be consistent with the rest of the league.

Hi guys, just wanted to say welcome to MLS. Portland is a great city, and the Timbers have great fans. I went to Civic Stadium? a couple times back in the NASL days to watch the Sounders play the Timbers, and will certainly be travelling up to watch the Quakes play you. Again, welcome, and good luck.

We hope to not disappoint. On the field? Anyone's guess. In the stands? Bigger, better, louder than ever.

When the PGE name runs out, I hope they call it Multnomah Stadium.

I wouldn't mind that. Local beer company without a overly consumer name.

That said Civic Stadium or Mutlnomah Stadium would be perfect, but I understand money is needed to come from somewhere.

Yes, wishes cannot overcome the allure of the almighty dollar.
