I have this belief that Neymar will probably surpass Pele by the end of his career. Do any of y’all share my opinion?

Neymar is at best displaying his fourth world-class season in 2017/18, and he's already 26. Pelé reached this amount of world-class season already aged 22. Despite this, Pelé won the World Cup two times as a key player, while Neymar only showed one very good, but unfortunate World Cup 2014.

So in my eyes there is absolutely no reason to expect Neymar rising to an all-time top 10 overall at this point.
But maybe this will change through the next years.

Aswell, i don't see any possibility at this point for Neymar to surpass the all-time greatest Pelé.

There is another thread talking about both .... more from a goal scoring point of view for the NT. But I don't think there is a chance he surpasses Pele as the top footballing figure in Brazil overall.

From the looks of it, I can agree with EnnatzIsTheMan that Neymar wouldn’t surpass Pele as an all time great player. It does have something to do with Messi-Ronaldo dominance and if these two are still in form until their late 30s then him and current gen players ain’t winning Ballon d’Or. Yes, Neymar isn’t gonna surpass Pele as the top footballing figure in Brazil for sure, in fact I doubt he’ll even surpass Pele’s stats considering his age.

    Shooting: Tie
    Shot Power: Pele
    Dribbling: Neymar
    Passing: Neymar
    Free kick: Neymar
    Crossing: Pele
    Heading: Pele
Speed: Tie, Pele can be faster?
    Strength: Pele
    Creativity: Tie

Neymar has the skills. Except he's injury prone & have improper attitude toward his teammates. Hope he recovers quickly & perform well in the World Cup

Absolutely no way. He may beat his Brazil goals tally thats it, in terms of legacy, a million miles off.

Neymar has to overcome Messi and CR7 first, if he succeeds he can think of competing with Pele.
