Some people are parasites or jerks about it. Some people are relaxed and cheerful about it. He's in the latter camp, so not many people mind. Some even like it. Occasionally

Fan comments: "He was ok actually - give him a 6 - nowhere near the worst player. Fannied around with it a few times and then put Moore in the crap with a back pass but not sure he did too much wrong defensively." That's all i could find.
He has been subbed out early in 3 of his last 4 starts, but wasn't at all before then. Don't know what has prompted such a change.
2-0 Villa. Second goal was on CCV, he got beat on a header. 2-1 Villa All goals in the first 13 minutes.
And now is 2-2 on a defensive error. I think this game will be decided by whom makes the last mistake.
The 'Ship leave may not be the most technical level 2 league but they certainly are the most intense. By the way, CCV is playing RCB on a 3-man backline.
CCV is strong and knows how to move and keep his line in shape. I think he needs to improve his positioning because at 6'1 he does get beat in the air more than he should.
I can't speak with any expertise, because I've watched him play like...twice, but maybe he could be pushed further forward? I've seen clips of good passes from him - does he have the technical quality to play as a defensive midfielder?
I think he has the skills, I just don't think he can move quick enough to play DM. If McKennie is our little tank, CCV is a Sherman tank.
Fan notes from the Villa game: - Add in CCV too. Hopefully over his horrible wobbly form of the last few weeks - very, very solid today. - CCV - back to business - Carter Vickers 7.5/10 – He has been another whose standards have dropped but he was good today. I am not sure he did much wrong all game. He won headers, cleared it and kept it nice and simple. He was fine today and did his job.
I have to say, without the athletic ability of a Puyol, a central defender of his height is at a major disadvantage in the aerial game. There's only so much you can do at his height, which isn't short, but certainly isn't towering. The wrong ball to the wrong guy is just not going to able to be defended by CCV. One hopes he has a 59" vertical and he was just slow in reacting to the cross, but I don't think so.
In all fairness, it was an excellent contested header, CCV was there and was close to deflecting it but he got partially boxed out by the player that scored. I think he is tall enough, look at Mascherano, he is only 5'8 and played CB for 3 years, Yes, opponents figured it out he was the weak link in that stacked team.
