Sheffield won 1-0 and CCV finished 3rd in the MOTM fan vote on twitter.

 

He’s been top 4 in MOTM voting in every game he’s played. Not bad.

 

Can we agree as a group to stop calling them Sheffield? Sheffield is a club founded in 1857 that plays in the 8th tier, Sheffield United is CCV's team, and there's also Sheffield Wednesday.

Saying just "Sheffield" is like saying that Juan Mata plays for Manchester.

 

Great to see him getting a steady run of games.

 

Honestly I started to add the United part earlier, but I was feeling lazy.

 

I feel like a Glasgow Rangers fan should be more sensitive to these sorts of correct nomenclature issues.

 

Let’s just call it, “United” to avoid all possible confusion.

 

But which United? Manchester? Leeds? Atlanta? If some might confuse the team CCV plays for with a team that plays in 8th division then surely some may confuse United for Ashton United. /sarcasm

CCV is playing center Fullback of a 3 man formation.

 

This looks to be a high-intensity game. Sheffield up 1-0 CCV is being pressured but got the call

 

a bit unfortunate on the goal, 50/50 header in the box, doesn't do enough to clear it. goes right to Leeds player for the goal.

Not really his fault though. Tried to head an aerial ball away and landed at the feet of the volleying Leeds player

 

In all fairness, the striker hit it on a one time from 20 yards away. It was a wonderful strike.

 

Not saying it wasn't a well hit volley, just that CCV put it on a plate for him. It was unfortunate.

 

first time i've watched CCV outside of USMNT. Observations:

- he has incredible technique and seems to really focus on it. Shuffling the feet, always keeping eye on his man, boxing out (yes, a hoops reference). It's impressive.

- seems quiet, body language isn't demonstrative. can't tell if he's a vocal leader or not.

- confident with ball at his feet, plays out of the back with comfort.

- Shows at 6'1" but for some reason i expected him to be more of a towering figure given i've only seen him play against kids the past few years. Still a beast of a figure.

This loan has been exceptional for him, at the right time, right club, etc.

 

was a pretty hotly contested 50/50 ball that he won, just so happened he won it to the wrong place
