The initial list was for homegrown American players. Yedlin was an oversight, but Williams, Brooks, Chandler, Johnson, et al did not fit the requirements.
I didn't say significant, but there are good comments made about Hyndman and PL teams play a lot of games. Moore sounds like he's 2nd string right back at the moment, hard to think he won't get an occasional appearance. I wouldn't be surprised by 8 - 10 appearances for either, I would be surprised by zero.
#THFC: Lloris (C), Trippier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Davies, Dier, Wanyama, Dembele, Eriksen, Dele, Kane. #COYS pic.twitter.com/gvAztjzbzO— Tottenham Hotspur (@SpursOfficial) August 20, 2017 So... he didn't even make the 18 today, and Davinson Sanchez isn't even here yet. Desperately needs a loan.
on another note......Kyle Scott made the bench for Chelsea in this game.....isn't he US-eligible??? crazy he was closer to playing in this game than either ccv or miazga..... why doesnt kyle scott have a thread in YA??
He's had a thread since 2012... https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/kyle-scott-at-chelsea-fc.1974372/page-14
don't you ever disrespect BostonRed like that ever again........... he just went all passive-aggressive on us. and i liked it.
CCV has joined newly promoted Championship side Sheffield United on loan. Though opinions may vary, this should be a good thing if he can get regular playing time. Cameron Carter-Vickers is heading to Championship club Sheffield United on loan. They've been playing 3-5-2 under Chris Wilder. #COYS— Chris I’Anson-Miller (@WindyCOYS) August 24, 2017
As far as I can tell from their Wiki page, Sheffield Utd have just three center backs on their first team with a first-team appearance to their name: Jack O'Connell, Jake Wright, Richard Stearman. Going on loan in the Championship to a team that seems to need CBs is a good thing.
this is what everyone wanted..............so now we will get to see CCV make it or break it. Good for CCV. He needed an opportunity. He now has one. I am excited to see what he can do; if he can step it up.
Especially good if they are playing 3 in the back - that should (in theory) create more opportunities for CCV. Of course, I'll have to set aside my old hatred of Sheff U (from the days of following Bobby Convey at Reading), but I'll give it a go.
I like this move. Hope it works out and he can fight for a Spurs place next year. At this point, no 19 year old should be sniffing Spurs first team in the CB role if they truly want to be a prem winning, CL competitive club. He has two years to crack the first team.
Hope he gets used to the championship...he's going to be there another decade. sorry guys. hope i am wrong and he gets picked up by everton for a decade or something, but honestly, his play has a one step forward, one step back quality to me.
Seems like CCV breaking in at Tottenham is a long shot at this point. Spending 40m on a young CB a few days ago was not a good look at all.
This. Even if he doesn't come true at Spurs he is going to be a rock in the Prem for someone for years. People closing the books on his Prem career when he's 19...my god.
So of several posts one guy having the opinion that he won't play in the EPL is noteworthy? Maybe he makes it to the EPL.... maybe he doesn't. Certainly his Spurs future is not looking great at this point.
Not just here, that MLS Transfers guy dislikes him, Matt Doyle. There are a number of people who think he isn't good.
I should've clarified that by "people" I meant Sam Hamwich's post. Not exactly a straw man given what he said though, right?
No one said it was noteworthy, I was just pointing out that obviously you missed the post. I didnt underatand the accusation you made either at the time, in retrospect it's just ironic.
Well it is a strawman because you used the word people implying multiple persons when it was just one poster. Most people are taking a wait and see approach with a recognition that things don't look great at Spurs with them just spending 42 million on a CB close in age to CCV.
