Being in a just-relegated club is a good sign too. A club that just got down from the EPL has enough money left over to pick the Championship to get the right players to make it back up right away. That they consider CCV good enough to help in that purpose is a good sign.

Unless an injury strikes I doubt CCV is going to find any meaningful playing time with Swansea. The young Welshman Rodon has partnered well with the veteran van der Hoorn and I dont see them breaking that up for a loanee.

According to whom? Not his current manager and he sees CCV everyday in practice. I don't know why we think we know more than the manager who has up to the minute knowledge of his form.
He's proven himself as a Championship starter last season for two teams. Which means he's forced himself into a starting role, with over a dozen starts at each club, twice in a season. So he's starter-caliber at the EFL Championship level, which means him riding the pine at an EFL team is an underutilization of his skills.
Again, my point being, where are your facts and evidence about how he is playing right now compared to the other defenders on the team. From the outside, all we have to use is starts versus bench appearances. That is literally all we have about his current form. We aren't at practice. We aren't in the physio room. The facts say that on this team, right now, he is a bench player. If he were far and away a better option for the manager, who wants to keep his fat salary by winning, he would be playing. I don't care about the rubbish of him being on loan versus a player owned by the club. If the manager, who knows up to the minute who is performing in his system best, doesn't believe he is a better option, then he ain't. Maybe there is very little separating the two players, but that means that he either needs to find a club lower down the table or play better.
He's not saying "CCV is too good to not be playing for his current team" he is saying "CCV is too good not to be playing for anybody at the Championship level."
