He's so good, they're not playing him just to be fair to the rest of the Championship.

I tuned into the match tracker when it was 0-1 after the pen. I was sure that the tracker was wrong that the pen was not given away by CCV. At least it must have been caused by some error by CCV that led to Naughton having no choice but to bring down the player in the box.

That sounds pessimistic. Am I being pessimistic?

Does CCV remind anyone else of Gooch Onyewu? Powerful and just a little clumsy?

maybe I'm very late, but why do so many seemingly bet on this guy? He hasn't even started much this season or last? Maybe i'm too distracted about say Miazga or Palmer Brown?

Huh? He played a ton for both of the teams he was loaned out to last year.

While true, I consistently feel like he isn't athletic enough to succeed at a particularly high level.

Unrelated: Swansea have conceded twice from corners in today's match. No idea if CCV was at fault on either.

See.......he reminds me more of Jay DeMerit. Similar height and build. Athletic but brain sometimes not on same page with athleticism and has one head scratcher a match. It’s usually not a mistake that’s punished with a goal but definitely an oh shit moment.

    Brooks + CCV.

Good against aerial, strong Northern/Central/Slavic Euro teams. What a team with small, agile, fast, dribbling speedy-Gonzalez type of forwards can do to them is unspeakable, though.

Looks like CCV is getting the start today against Derby. Holmes is on the bench for Derby, so maybe a chance for some yank-on-yank action in this one.

Subbed off in the 54th with the team down 2-0. 2-1 final; Holmes came on in the 90th for Derby.

Gotta give CCV credit, he's managed to crack the lineup in all 3 of his loans in the past 18 months

Ratings seem OK - highlights I saw mostly consist of him watching crosses into the box that he couldn't reach.

Maybe. But while the ball went over his head before being headed in, the guy who scored wasn't CCV's man. Hard to say it was his fault.
