He really seems to have disappeared in the last few weeks. Not even making the bench. Wonder if there's an injury?
Didn't he play like garbage in his last first team appearance? I could be remembering incorrectly, but if they don't think he's ready for the first team for any extended period, then having him on the bench doesn't make sense either.
He's never played like garbage in any first team appearance. His last one was decent, just like all the others. The only time hasn't played well was against Liverpool, and going up against an in-form Sturidge and coming up second best is nothing to be ashamed of for an 18 year old CB.
On the bench for the FA Cup match against Fulham: Subs: Lopez, Carter-Vickers, Wimmer, Dembele, Onomah, Sissoko, Janssen. #COYS— Tottenham Hotspur (@SpursOfficial) February 19, 2017
Bruce Arena is at the game today, supposedly to watch Ream. Let's hope he has time to give CCV a quick "how-do-you-do."
Vertonghen and Toby both got hurt, but from the players and managers post-game quotes they don't appear to be serious
Even if both are injured, he's not going to play. Dier and Wimmer will play at CB, Wanyama is probably cover at both CB positions, and then if somehow two of those three can not play CB for some reason, then maybe Carter-Vickers gets in the match. He could make the bench though.
If any other team in the EPL had the luck of injuries on the back line that Spurs have they would be toast. The defensive depth of this team is absurd, the fact that CCV has gotten any playing time/made the bench is a testament to how talented this kid we have is.

I know everyone wants him to start but Vertonghen and Alderweireld are world class. Dier is an England national team starter and CCV is a kid. In the low level comps he's gotten starts in the Cups but Spurs are making a push for Champions League. CCV will eventually get his chance but y'all expecting him to supplant any of those three right now or even Wimmer who has a ton of Bundesliga experience are just being naive.
On the bench: Subs: Vorm, Carter-Vickers, Walker, Dembele, Sissoko, Nkoudou, Son. #COYS— Tottenham Hotspur (@SpursOfficial) April 1, 2017
Thats a straw man. No one expects him to supplant those players yet. There were chances to get him more games, in games that weren't just Cup games, that Pochettino decided to play his regular CB's in or played players out of position at CB instead of playing Carter-Vickers.
No, its a straw man, and also reality, but its also reality that he's 19 years old. That type of buzz phrase is meaningless to the discussion. What was even the point of your post? I'm failing to see it. It seems like you want to find an argument somewhere where there isn't one.
My dude you litter this forum with posts as if it were your personal trash receptible. You're the last person worthy of questioning anyone's content on this forum. Per usual you've descended into nonsensical territory.
I don't think anyone here is saying he should get time over any of the players you mentioned but they should have trotted him out there a few times more than they have
Again, it was clear as day a straw man. The poster claimed that people wanted him to supplant Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Dier and Wimmer now, players no one claimed he should supplant (with maybe the exception of Wimmer, but he's fourth choice so thats quibbling over nothing). I explained what could've instead happened, which was not at all what that poster suggested people had complained about. So yes, it is a straw man. You didn't explain why it wasn't a straw man. Your post was about me, not Carter-Vickers, like the post I am quoting right now, about me, not Carter-Vickers.
