An interview with Caleb from a very good English language website on Portugal Futebol. http://www.portugoal.net/index.php/more-setubal-news/35704-exclusive-v-setubal-keeper-caleb
Caleb started Setubal's first game, a 2-2 draw at Nacional. http://www.soccerway.com/matches/20...-desportivo-nacional/vitoria-setubal/1316774/
Caleb has some new competition for playing time... Pawel Kieszik http://www.abola.pt/nnh/ver.aspx?id=348438 He's a Polish guy who's been around Portugal for several years. He was at Porto most recently, but basically never played. He played for Setubal a few years back apparently.
Not great news, since Caleb started this weekend in what ended up being a 5-0 loss to Benfica. Not sure if any of the goals were his fault, but letting in 5 is never a good sign.
Kieszik replaces CPS between the pipes in today's game. CPS on the bench. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/match/_/id/348674?cc=5901
In two games with Caleb between the sticks Setubal surrender 7 goals (though most were while a man down). In two games since he was replaced Setubal have not allowed any goals.
Damn, Caleb has been really benched. He didn't even play in their League Cup game (nor make the bench) which Setubal won 1-0. http://www.lpfp.pt/taca_liga/pages/jogo.aspx?epoca=20122013&jornada=4&jogo=8061
That's because he's been having a problem with his right knee. He's back practicing with the team now. http://www.abola.pt/nnh/ver.aspx?id=352327

I think a "Socceroo" is some sort of monstrous creature http://www.studs-up.com/2010/07/the-abominable-socceroo/
Caleb gets his first start in a while in a game at Academica de Coimbra. Unfortunately, Vitoria lose 4-2. http://www.lpfp.pt/liga_zon_sagres/pages/jogo.aspx?epoca=20122013&jornada=13&jogo=7531
Caleb also started the previous game against Nacional in the league cup. Setubal won 3-1. But he's only been playing because Kieszek has been having an ankle problem. This article says he could be ready for the next game (also in the league cup) against Porto on Wednesday. We can hope not, but it looks like Caleb will probably be back on the bench sooner rather than later. http://www.abola.pt/nnh/ver.aspx?id=374931
Guess he's back on the bench. http://www.yanks-abroad.com/content.php?mode=show&id=9800 It's too bad. He has given up a bunch of goals per game, but he also got very little help from his defense.
In the last two games, Setubal gave up 4 and 3 goals to Benfica and Porto respectively. Kieszek started both games but players received red cards in both games. The team is in free-fall now, falling to one of the relegation spots.
Brian Sciaretta @BrianSciaretta 7h Former #NYRB GK and Nashville native Caleb Patterson-Sewell has transferred from Vitoria Setubal to Gil Vicente in Portual's Primeira Liga Patterson-Sewell had 3 starts in the league and 2 in the league cup during his one year stint with Vitória Setúbal.
