Leonardo Jardim should definitely get a 'Cagou Na Fralda 2017' award nomination. Got flashbacks to JJ's campaigns in the CL for Benfica, although their current campaign is among the worst I've seen. Bested only by Benfica this year.
Agreed. It could have been 3-1 for Besiktas if it was not for Jose Sa. On paper, Besiktas are a better team so it was a great result for Porto. With Besiktas through, it's going to come down to the wire between Porto and Leipzig.
Nice. Yea I work for the same type of company. And yes, they have similar negotiation leverage but because the job market is so hot out here, I always go into a job search or offer with several competing offers. With the cost of living around here, these tech companies are directly responsible for it and they do pay accordingly, in the form of salary or additional benefits, such as RSUs etc. It just requires a bit of negotiation. What does COL mean exactly? Yea, home is where the heart is. I just had a manager leave back to Boston, needed to be closer to family. I do notice, however, that most of my buddies from the northeast and eats coast tend to be more conservative. I find that San Jose is perfect balance, although it may not have the same fun, party scene that SF has. AT least I don't have to worry about homeless people shooting heroin and taking dumps on the streets, bitter cold weather (for my standards), and clusterf*ck to navigate.
Got it. Reno kinda sucks. Lots of tweekers, snow, and some casinos. It's like a watered-down Vegas for old folks, you're exactly right. Now Tahoe, on the other hand, is dope as f*ck.
As long as Jorge Mendes got all the commissions he deserved from Benfica's transfers, I can sleep soundly at night.
If I lived in Bumble********, Alabama, I'd be more inclined to sacrifice (in this case, sacrifice again) and make the big move again. Instead, I live in an area that rivals the one I'd move to, thus pay is really not much of a factor as any properly competing firms will pay properly, aka competitively, whether its in SF, NYC, etc (especially in this case tho cause Bay Area rent is palpably worse, IMO, at least to navigate). The move didn't jive with me personally, although the work and team would have been interesting. It's an opportunity that continues to more or less there if I really felt it was a good fit, which is cool. Family and friends are simply things I prefer to be surrounded with, particularly if career advancement is comparable and I don't need to make a real sacrifice from that perspective. do u smell me homie But to be honest, I know every two weeks I made the right choice cause it seems its usually every two weeks there is news about the most recent tax-funded, California elementary school that waterboarded a 5 year-old for using the wrong pronoun when referring to a classmate, or something like that.
I been saying it since day 1. Porto been overperforming up to this point. They will drop more points. Sporting is taking it this season.
So where is all the "novo apito dourado" accusations now? Still don't understand how the league can "justify" VAR? Where they watching a different replay, checking their emails or blowing the Padres? They can't say they didn't see anything unless they have vision impairment. It's all good, we should of just scored a couple more goals to avoid this BS which is expected now in close games.
