Bet you would have said the same thing about Zlatan and Sweden eh? I recall us just winning a Euro final without Ronaldo. Infact, much like Sweden there seems to be an extra cohesiveness without the pressure of having the go through 1 guy. It's okay dude I get the pain you must be feeling, you probably can't even remember how a goal looks like anymore. The dark ages are beginning for Italian football and the golden era is begging for Portugal. I feel for you guys though. Everytime I see some douchebag with half a bottle of product in his hair talking in that purposefully dumb way using the word bro at the end of every sentence, I'll pour a little of my drink out for him.

There is nothing wrong with rival sport banter. However, don’t be disrespectful to their ethnic group and culture. It makes us look bad. We are champions, we don’t base our happiness on the failures of others, we base our happiness on winning trophies.

Stop getting triggered. There is no ethnic or cultural bashing and that would be strange since we have similar cultures. This is just some back and forth banter. You are not from Toronto so you don't understand the made up "rivalry".There is no hate.
Heck, I've grown up with tons of Italian friends and have Italian family members like a lot of us pork chops here in the Toronto area.
At the end of the day, the Portuguese and Italian get along really well with the occasional "breaking balls".

A football crazy culture (perhaps the most) having to go 8 years without any world cup finals football is pretty harsh.....yet priceless.

I really hope we don't cagou all over the place . I'm worried if Pepe gets injured.

I have a gut feeling we will be in the final against Brazil or Spain.

    My prime concern as well.

If Pepe gets injured, we get this.

Spain's two starting CB's have ego's and hate each other. The Catalan/Hispanidad rift will always be there.

Actually I was going for Italy. Just like I went for Italy in 2016 and in 2012 and in 2006 (but that was a mistake as I cannot believe the hate I got AFTER Italy won) Sorry you are out, see you in 2020

Yeah, we can't afford to have an injured Pepe. Old man Bruno Alves is just too old and who knows if Jose Fonte will be back or fit. We should of been converting Danilo to CB.

I have been campaigning for that on these forums for about a year now but unlike Sergio Conceicao, i guess Santos doesn't like my posts.

Ruben Dias. Kids good but I wouldn’t think he’ll be ready to feature in Russia at this point in time. Things could change in 7 months thought

We really don't have a lot of good players for CB. I can see this happening if he keeps playing and playing well. Look at Renato Sanches

I find it strange that Pique continues to play for Spain even though he believes that Spain is suppressing his people in Catalonia.

If I was in his shoes, I don't think I could do it even if it meant missing out on World Cup football.

It's funny cause a lot of the fans I heard were blaming their aging defense... But when I look up top, I see a bunch of clowns that can't organize anything threatening... 0 goals over 2 games.. Chiellini Barzagli are the only good things left imo

I thought it was going to be ten minutes of stoppage time. Portimonense's time wasting tactics backfired big time.

Time wasting is what all the Portuguese teams do. Porto just gets the extra minutes.

Sergio Conceiçao was ejected at the request of the 4th ref who happens to be a "padre". I wouldn't be surpirsed if he gets suspended for a few games.
