We da best! We were the better team before the red, but after it was game over. Martin and Cecilio! Menez and Ibarguen were supposed to replace them. But now? Nah. This team has the talent and depth to go all the way.

Fair enough. Maybe I'm just in a glow of positivity, but I'm liking what I'm seeing even beyond tonight. Seeing guys like Martin, Cecilio, Guido, etc. playing up to expectations gives me a lot of hope. Menez's goal was a product of great skill not poor defending. Also through five games so far, I haven't really felt like Pablo's presence has been missed. Piojo/Banos made of like bandits in that deal IMO.
America just beat Toronto in a friendly today 6-3. Scorers were Corona, Martin, Diaz, Ibarguen, Darwin, and Lainez. Piojo confirms there's an offer on the table for Darwin that is still being evaluated. Rumors are that Vancouver and Toronto are both looking to buy him with the offer being somewhere between 5-7 million.
Yeah those rumors sound to me like America is putting them out there to inflate the price. I doubt that Toronto is even making an offer. All their DP slots are filled, so to add Quintero they'd have to dump Giovinco, Bradley, or Altidore, who were the main cogs of their championship last year. Vancouver, on the other hand, has an open slot so it would make sense.

He's signed until 2020....I'm going to think he had a bad night and that he's not in poor form. Cecilio had a great 1st half....got a bit gassed in the 2nd. Uribe has been pretty disappointing so far. Forget the penalty, he has pretty much been invisible in every game he's played. Martin was pretty invisible today as well.

Guardado was 19 and showed WAY more promise when he came on the scene than Lainez. imho I don't mind Lainez playing in the sub-20 because there isn't anyone in the starting lineup that I can feel confident he'll do better than...
