Yea , I'm surprised. It didn't seem like he touched the ball in the last 15 minutes you highlighted where ponte got the better of it. I art least saw him dropping deep getting touches earlier
Typical Fla-like game. Takes the lead, gets complacent and lets Ponte dictate, takes the equalizer, then at the end regroups and gives the effort and extra movement to retake the lead. Gotta love the support ES gives Mengo. I like the fact that multiple guys are getting on the scoresheet this season.
#VITxFLA pic.twitter.com/1UAFDodfWC— Flamengo (@Flamengo) September 10, 2016 I knew Zé Ricardo couldn't help himself.
Zé Ricardo defending with 10 men behind the ball even after Diego Renan went off. Smh. Thankfully we got the result.
Haha I saw that. And it's extra redicoulis because I've always liked his game but even I know he's not close to top shelf
I also see Fla fans making their ideal lineups for next season and including Pará. Are you really foolish to believe that Pará will continue to play well into next year? There's a reason why he has jumped from club to club. I think he's almost 30 too. He is what he is.
I don't know what they've seen in training but I'd feel really good about rodinei/leo but that's just me. It's risky. Maybe rodinei in practice is just too bad ? I mean he did mentally collapse at corinthians and admitted to it plus he's not a good practice player. Paras the safe option with the libertadores and he's a gladiator so no disrespect to him but safe doesn't win titles. You see any of Leo at cap ? When I've seen him he's looked good
And one has to think Jorge is getting offers. So may be looking for a lb. doubt you guys would go the ponte option again but I'd be a strong advocate for Reinaldo/para. Let para stay back and scrap and Reinaldo be dynamic.
Rodinei basically lost his job to injury. Pará flashed some good form and Zé Ricardo didn't go back. Rodinei was still good IMO, maybe not as good as his Ponte form, but given the state of fullbacks in Brazil, easily a good option. Leo has looked solid the few times I've seen him, but I'm not sure if I can trust him. He blew his opportunities here and was even worse at Inter.
So what's this deal with your president saying if Flamengo is not given the rights to run the Maracana they won't play there ? That's a pretty "bold" thing to say.
The current owners have been playing hard ball over it. They want us to bend over backwards to play there. Essentially, Fla's president thinks Maracana will lose the owners' money if Fla never plays there. They believe we have the leverage.
