Spot on. This is something we've known for years. Our club is excellent at recognising youth and developing them quickly as opposed to acclimatising experienced players. Older they are more likely they'll suck. I hope TT gives the Sule deal a thumbs up.

 

Why? What about Weigl, Sahin and Götze? What about Hummels? All these young guys who has no CL experience became superstars. On the other hand look at Castro, and Ramos. Those Koreans. We can't afford to have average players with a wage bill of 100M. It has to be composed of about 3 to 4 superstars and the rest are young future stars.

 

honestly, i don't know. regarding of your response to MatthausSammer, the best scenario is always by replacing player that gone with younger one. but this team's transfer maneuver is become more and more difficult to assess, honestly. sometime the successor is older than the replaced one (gotze -> mkhi, lewy -> ramos,immobile don't count for me, gundo -> castro ). sometimes they never chase player that really want to join us back then (eriksen,batshuayi,firmino) but went all way to player that we have only slim chance to sign (de bruyne, yarmolenko, toprak).
my point is that even the fan are not knowing which player BVB really are after. recent news by media suggest that the board are against of replacing hummels with a youngster. i just try to reason with that.

 

A young and experienced CB is Batra from Barca. He has been struggling for playing time and can replaced that guy who left for Bayern

 

I can see why it'd be confusing to us fans. They are basically trying to balance youth with some experience. The transfers in 2013 were driven by Watzke trying to force the situation ie getting experienced players to maintain our momentum and then repeat the same in 2014. It failed miserably. Jurgen Klopp had almost no experience integrating experienced players into the core of his squad. On top of that our scouts also have little experience so no wonder they bombed it with Ciro Immobile.

What they should do is just stick to scouting youth and leave the rest up to TT and his team. I do think Watzke makes a killing on outgoing transfers

 

anyone here hates burki's performance? 'cause there is a good news for you. Express write that dortmund's bosses aren't completely convinced with burki, thus seeking a goalie to compete him. koln's timo horn is the main candidate. how fitting, we're just gonna fight koln. although i wonder why they don't go for zieler.

 

Other than the howler game against Bayern I think Burki has been good. I'm not against another young keeper, but I doubt we would keep three keepers.

Tyton became number 1 by default and it took until last weekend's match that Mitch got his first game in the league. Got 3 goals put past him and according to Kicker ratings, he was still their best player. And now he faces relegation. Just a bad year when everything goes wrong. If the question was in regards to plans for Dortmund, I'm certain that ship has sailed.
