Is a cold night at Burnley the new cold night at Stoke?

We need to rotate pretty liberally here - but while doing enough to pick up 3 points as we ramp up for the Napoli game (and we have a very difficult fixture against Bournemouth too after this).

    -----------Alisson-------------
    AA-----Lovren/Matip---VvD-----Moreno
    -----Milner---Henderson----Keita----
    ----Salah---Sturridge----Origi

Liverpool could be without Sadio Mané for Wednesday’s visit to Burnley. The in-form striker suffered a deep cut to his foot during the derby and was unable to train on Monday.

I agree. Or put Milner at LB.

If we are rotating midfield/forwards and Robbo is out, I'd stick with Gomez at CB.

Keita definitely should start and I'd like to see Fab given a run of games. Have Fab and Hendo played as a 2 yet?

I'm not sure how that front line would work. Perhaps Shaq for Origi.

Last season, Burnley were a really tough team to play against. That was the Ragnar Klavan game, which Klopp said was his favorite game at Liverpool. This season Burnley are not a good team, and we should go there ready to attack them and score goals.

This week City have Watford away on Tuesday and Chelsea away on Saturday. If we can beat Burnley and Bournemouth, there is a chance we are top of the table this time next week. I'm not holding my breath though.

Chelsea - City should be a fun one. Also Arse - United this week.

Two matches I want draws in. LeArse didn't listen to me last match.

Burnley is definitely the match to rotate some with 3 difficult games coming up, but its also the match we don't want to slip up in either by trying to be too cute.

Some of our players looked exhausted at the end of the match Sunday. I would be more worried about slipping up if we don’t rotate for this one.

I would like to think that Hendo/Milner/Keita have been training together all week with this game in mind.

I think that's a pretty good guess , newt . Only change I'd make is Sturridge .I think he's looked off of late , wonder if that gambling issue is affecting him . I'd give Origi a start up front with Salah and Shaq.

Rumors are that Origi will start.

The players who aren’t rested today (Salah for example) might be rested Saturday. We will need our first eleven fresh and ready to go for both of that games that follow against Napoli and United.

I agree. It's also a good thing that Origi is seemingly coming into form (stop laughing ta the back). I'd hesitate to put in too many changes but that trio in midfeld looks fine.

We do need to be mindful of the fact that Burnley has been on a awful run of form. I hope we don't do yesteryear's allowing a floundering club to find form.

Matip, Lallana and Moreno to start? They need to state a case for being at Liverpool if that is the case.

Moreno most likely, but I would be surprised to see the other two. Even if we change all 3 midfielders from last game, Lallana could still miss out. If Lovren is fit he will get the start at CB. I wouldn’t rest Virgil.....ever.

If there weren’t so many pointless international breaks these random midweek fixtures wouldn’t be necessary.

News is that Lovren did not travel, so maybe there is a start for Matip. Or maybe we just play Gomez at center back.

Alisson, Gomez, Matip, Van Dijk, Moreno; Henderson, Milner, Keita; Shaqiri, Origi, Sturridge.

Lets see what the backups can do.
