I'm back. It is easily past time for me to start a new thread continuing what I did prior to my extended absence here. I think I overdosed on Joachim Loew with Number VI of this series so I will move on and give other past Bundesliga players a chance in the posts that follow. I am REALLY rusty, though. I might need a little help doing again what had become second nature for me before but we will see.
Vratislav Lokvenc Mr. Lokvenc, from the Czech Republic, now becomes the first post-Joachim Loew player to appear in this continued series. Anyway, he played fulltime at striker in the Bundesliga for Kaiserslautern from 2000 to 2004 and for Bochum in 2004-05. In the 148 total appearances he made in the league he scored 48 goals, including 11 in 2001-02 and 10 in 2004-05, and helped out on 17 others. Lokvenc also got carded 23 times(all yellows). After Bochum got relegated in 2005 he played 3 seasons in Austria and a season in Switzerland before finishing up as a profi with Ingolstadt of the 2nd Liga in 2008-09. Lokvenc was quite tall with the weight to match so it seems his proper position was centerforward.
