Hamburg didn't deserve the 1 point, created 0 chances while Bayern were a bunch of blind men in front of net. Would have been an aggravating draw. Fantastic team goal though.

After that awful 1st half, nice to see the turnaround. Got to work on closing it better though. Clean sheet, another win. Now to second tough test of the season.

Best players: Ribery, Kimmich, Javi. Honorable mention to Thiago.

    Worst player: Muller (again)

Maybe we should rethink the Muller has to start in every game motto especially once all our wingers are back from injury. His form has just been lost and our right wing is just barren these days.

That will be in discussion after next week actually.. as in if he doesn't perform next week, he could be losing his spot shortly afterwards.

i hope Carlo will be more flexible, he needs to know when to play three midfielders and when to go more attacking having Kimmich,Sanches and Thiago playing so deep vs this HSV and on top of that having Muller and Lewy both on the field.

Ribery for 30 min did more than Muller this whole season. I said it last year Muller and Lewy have become too similar and offer similar things, in the end one of them is one too many unless we chase the lead or we play vs weaker teams with two wingers and Muller and Lewy.

Now on to Atletico i think its the perfect team to play three midfielders i think base on that that Alonso didnt play today we will see Alonso,Vidal,Thiago midfield with Ribery , Lewy and probably Muller again.

They work well together but when Muller plays behind Lewy rather than as a RW, where he's been progressively awful this season.

couldn't watch the game since I watched Copenhagen live on stadium, followed the game on WhoScored and apparently Spahic had him down in his pocket

I'll watch the game later and see myself, can't wait till see all the chances we missed

    Kimmich is GOAT btw

Müller was def bad, but Coman was atleast as bad. I really didn't like what i saw today. In my opinion this midfield lacks a bit creativity up front as Thiago plays so low.
Also, is it just me or has Pep ruined Thiago? He plays so low and that unforced magic is fading, especially when he is on the ball.
Also, please just drop Müller. How much longer can he start? He was terrible at Euros and not showing much this season either.

The problem with Coman was that he was a single purpose player under Pep. The team would create dangerous 1 on 1's for him and all he had to do was beat his man and get the ball into a dangerous position. With this multipurpose winger/AM hybrid role Carlo has for his wide men, Coman struggles because he never trained for that. It also doesn't employ the best use of his skills, which is beating defenders off the quick pass. Will he improve in the new role? Not sure, but should we stringently adhere to a system that doesn't best utilise our power players? Today, in the first half Sanches from midfield was often closer to the touchline than Coman who had to drift in to occupy the space Sanches left vacant. Having Coman inside without the ball is difficult because he'll be crowded by 2 or 3 players the moment he gets it and will have trouble advancing. Something to work out for the tactical team.

Thiago has been one of the best players in early season. The reason he plays that deep is ball circulation. When Xabi plays, he's the deepest.

I feel like several of our players are not being utilised to their best. On the other hand, several others are being absolutely starlighted. Ribery, Alaba, the CBs are all looking excellent for the most part. The record has been great under Carlo but the football definitely needs to improve.
