It's becoming increasingly difficult to take RB Leipzig seriously. Seems like the club is just a platform so they can showcase a bunch of players aged 20-23 and then sell them for profit. Wouldn't even be surprised if there was some sort of collusion between them and Salzburg. As the player development chain begins with signing players from there and then flipping them 2 years later like how they did with Naby Keita. These players don't show any interest in being there. They're all just bought mercenaries who are waiting to be sold.
Not true Kahn, Linke Effenberg Scholl were starters in the final, about same as 2013 team that had Neuer Lahm Boateng Schweini Muller Jens Jeremies was suspended for the final and would have played. Plus Tarnat Zickler and Jancker were subs in the team
That may have been true a generation ago, but today German football is very problematic. The track record against clubs from smaller leagues is embarrassing to say the least. It's gotten to a point where you pretty much expect a let down. I think the last time that a BL club not named Bayern Munich showed those qualities was Dortmund back in the 2012-13 CL season. When they beat Shakhtar, Malaga, and Real Madrid on the way to reaching the finals. Other teams have gotten worse. Leverkusen and Schalke used to be dependable teams who at least reached the Round of 16 in CL. But have now declined severely.
one of numerous reasons as to why no one in Germany likes them. fifa should investigate them, as all this talk of transfers/loans and collusion is heating up. and pretty much, given how they seem likely to get Adams from RB NY and Haidara from RB Salzburg, this won't end. but these RB players really seem to have no real interest in being there. Like you mentioned they want to go to higher leagues. Besides RB jacks up all the prices on their players to ridiculous amount. Like extreme amounts for 19-23 olds with only 1 good or decent season. This season isn't really a great advertisement as of now for anyone. how crappy they've been makes me want to see Werner leave next Summer.
That is why Leipzig don't seem like they will ever match the relevancy of clubs such as Schalke or Dortmund. The direction that Leipzig seems to be head towards is they're copying the model of Salzburg, Portuguese league, and Eredivisie clubs. Buying young players and selling them for profit after couple or years. Management are planning each season bringing in 2-3 players from Salzburg (or New York), and several more players from other European leagues or parts of the world. Each new player is bought for around 10 Mio, with hopes to sell them for 30-50+ Mio. Success of the team doesn't matter as long as they make money. The Red Bull company needs Leipzig because they know players coming out of the Austrian league are only worth 10-15 Mio max. Players need to play in the German BL first because they can make them higher transfer values.
they even do it with the German youngsters they buy. Werner who they bought for $10 M from Stuttgart, yet almost every reports state they won't sell him unless it's like $80+M at the min, lol. They have shown interest in numerous German younger professional players but get rejected. and when it comes to youth players, they basically get kids because of $$$ to come and play at RB. Too many stories at how they corrupted Janelt, Dadashov, Diawusie etc. and basically made them unprofessional as they throw too much money in their faces while being too young. Worse part is how they still lure tons of prospects yet promote no one for real. It's the same club who wanted to spend $20M on Lookman and $16M on the Portuguese 16 year old Embolo, all so that they can sell them for a fortune later on.
Favre could be looking to make Dortmund into the next FC Switzerland. Reports saying they want to sign Remo Freuler from Atalanta https://m.sportbild.bild.de/fussbal...bvb-sanches-italien-57382946.sportMobile.html
Bruma, Augustin and Mukiele were the players that were total failures for Leipzig and all got subbed out after HT. Apart from Rangnick being pissed, regulars such as Kampl, Poulsen and Forsberg were also extremely critical of the lack fight and mentality from the young players. Sabitzer also lashed out on Upamecano https://m.sportbild.bild.de/fussbal...rangnick-abrechnung-57373652.sportMobile.html
I'm very curious about what is the leech for these young strikers before coaches/clubs lose patience? Joelinton and Nicolas Gonzalez I think Stuttgart are becoming too Gomez dependent. Gonzalez has done nothing and their other striker Donis hasn't ever really produced at a high level. And with that the club is struggling. I was surprised they didn't go after anyone besides a 20 year player from Argentina. What if Gomez goes injured? They could be in trouble for sure.
Stuttgart not making EL afterall looks like a blessing on disguise. They're struggling just as bad as Schalke right now. Their new signings havent shown anything. The coach Korkut hasn't convinced either from a tactical standpoint in his second season.
wow sounds like old Ralf lost the locker room. Team seems to be a mess both on the field and off of it. yeah those young players fully deserved the critical and lashing at them, none impressed. I honestly never rated Bruma, so to see him not do well isn't really a shock.
blame Michael Reschke dude was all proud of his signings that seem years away from being relevant players. That's not going to help you in survival battle.
I do wonder if Stuttgart regrets selling off Terodde? guy is currently at 12 goals in 6 games for Koln in all competition. 8 goals in 5 games in 2BL 4 goals in 1 game in Cup provided 7 goals and 1 assist in 30 games last season in 1BL.Half of those games came while playing for struggling and eventually relegated Koln.
Lol more details reported from Spoiled Brats FC. Prior to the match against Salzburg, instead of changing in the locker room and getting ready to warm up in the stadium, Augustin and Mukiele were missing. The whole team had to search for them and they were found on the coaching bench with their headphones on and playing with their phones. Both players are expected to be fined, and may also miss out on upcoming matches. https://www.90min.de/posts/6177567-...ick-adressiert-kritik-an-augustin-und-mukiele
I have a hard time believing that Leipzig has what it takes to beat Celtic. The Norwegian giants Rosenborg will play tough nosed Scandinavian bunker ball for 90 mins and give Leipzig many issues scoring. While the Red Bull corporation is not going to let the Salzburg division lose at their own headquarters. I'm predicting Rangnick's team will have these results: -Draw 0-0 away at Rosenborg -Draw 1-1 home vs Celtic -Lose 1-2 away at Celtic -Draw 1-1 away at Salzburg -Win 1-0 home vs Rosenborg
With a match up against Bayern it looks like Schalke are poised to begin the season 0-4 barring any miracles
4 - Ondrej Duda is the first @Hertha BSC_EN player in Bundesliga history to score 4 goals on the first 4 matchdays of a Bundesliga season. Record. #BSCBMG pic.twitter.com/vSvtrjbitk— OptaFranz (@OptaFranz) September 22, 2018
yeah they are headed to another L. next up for them is Freiburg if they lose that than Tedesco is likely out.
