they used to promote now in recent times like vast vast majority of clubs they buy buy buy instead. Seriously why promote when you can just buy some cheap players who have pro/1st division experience and clubs want results now not later. Isak is not a club promotion or prospect they bought him from Sweden for like $8ishM (cheap change for a club like Dortmund) but never used him, lol. Even that Spanish 00-Gomez who they are like he's one of the most rated players of his age group in Europe (yeah so rated that he had mediocre numbers in RL and tons of players did better than him and are a lot less rated) was loaned out this season to Spanish 2nd division. That other Spaniard and Balerdi are currently playing RL, lol. I think any striker promotion will end up being Moukoko in like 2-3 years min.
Borussia Dortmund have become way too predictable this season. Relying on individual quality to help them score, and then sitting back to give the opponents a chance to come back into the game. Favre needs to change his tactics or he won't last the season #BVB— BVB Buzz (@BVBBuzz) October 5, 2019
so far this season, Pulisic and Joelinton's moves to EPL have been meh while Haller seems to have better start.
Going top of the #Bundesliga like... 👀🔝 pic.twitter.com/bVjijvV4Xc— Gladbach (@borussia_en) October 6, 2019
Although I don't expect many of them to sustain their current positioning, I do find it interesting to see a fairly competitive landscape at the top of the table to begin the season. Wolfsburg leap to 2nd place after beating Union today. Even Frankfurt could leap ahead of Dortmund if they can win vs Werder Bremen today.
Andre Silva scored in his 3rd consecutive match. But Frankfurt concede a penalty near the end to finish in a 2-2 draw vs Bremen.
0 - Together with Juventus Turin, @VfLWolfsburg_EN are the only side in Europe's Top Five leagues to be unbeaten in all competitions in 2019-20 (W6, D4). Invincible. #Bundesliga #WOBFCU pic.twitter.com/2c6ypGL9aE— OptaFranz (@OptaFranz) October 6, 2019
"According to BILD information, sacking #Favre is not (yet) up for discussion. But if the result crisis continues, the bosses will have to act. Hot candidate for this case: Ralf #Rangnick (61/Leipzig)." What do you believe? Would Rangnick be a realistic option?— German Football Daily (@GERFootDaily) October 7, 2019
if this is true man these Frenchies are real users. According to Sport Bild, Mainz 05 forward Jean-Philippe #Mateta does not rule out a transfer in winter. Tottenham and Southampton are said to be interested in the striker. #m05— German Football Daily (@GERFootDaily) October 16, 2019 he's only played 1 season in Germany than this Summer he got injured and still not fit yet. So instead of helping struggling Mainz he wants to jumps ship mid-season, LMAO.
wonder what it says when a player flops hard at HSV but excels elsewhere? The list is growing by the year.... The Korean Hwang was a massive flop last season on loan in 2BL 2 goals and 2 assists in 20 games this season in Austria. 5 goals and 6 assists in 8 games in Austrian Bundesliga 2 goals and 3 assists in 2 CL game, picking up a goal and assist vs Liverpool in that 4-3 loss. 1 assist in 1 game in Cup but productive in every game this season but 2. HSV seems like a toxic club for good amount of players, players seem to get stiffened. or more interesting is when one sees tons of 1BL players who left in Summer flop hard in non 1BL TOP leagues......
lol Bayern and Dortmund. Niko Kovač is losing his biggest supporter in Uli Hoeneß on 15 November and Rummenigge will be in charge. KHR has been critical of Kovač since last season and if the bad results and performances continue, the club has a serious alternative: Ralf Rangnick [@cfbayern, SportBild] The name of Rangnick has already been discussed internally before last season's Pokal final with recommendation from Rummenigge. Uli Hoeneß however stopped the discussion back then & supported Kovač. Rangnick would be interested in taking charge at Bayern while Dortmund. José #Mourinho is a candidate to succeed Lucien #Favre if the head coach doesn't get #BVB back on track. However, #Watzke and #Zorc prefer to avoid a change of coaches during the season. Mourinho is ready to take over a new club, according to the report. Florian #Kohfeldt and Roger #Schmidt are not in the thoughts of the Borussia Dortmund bosses. Good comeback win for Leipzig v Zenit, Werner subbed at ht. Nice goals from Austrian duo Laimer and Sabitzer. Big game for Dortmund in Milan tonight, 4 points from the double header v Inter and qualification should be doable.
Mochengladbach trailing Roma 1-0 Are we going to lose to another Italian club this week Juventus 2 Leverkusen 0 Inter 2 Dortmund 0
Juve and Inter are stronger clubs than Leverkusen and Dortmund so those results aren't too surprising. Gladbach with a last minute goal to finish with a draw against Roma Wolfsburg choked the ending and let Gent score an equalizer at the end Good win for Frankfurt though over Liege
Juve are stronger then all BL clubs, but Inter are not a stronger club then Dortmund at this point imo. The difference is they have Conte, whereas Dortmund have Favre. Given the amount of money invested and quality of player at their disposal Dortmund have the ability to target the BL title and CL 1/4 finals this season, however with Favre's mid table mindset they will achieve neither. Leverkusen are going to be lucky to get any points at all at this rate. Which is embarrassing. In the EL it looks pretty good for Wolfsburg and Frankfurt, I think both have a good chance to progress. Two last minute equalisers away from home have given Gladbach some hope, if they can win at home v Roma they are right back in contention to qualify.
Lucien Favre is what's wrong with Dortmund. Mid-table manager who has never won a league title in 20+ years and has been a resounding failure in European tournaments. I have no idea why anyone rates him at all, and local fans were spewing nonsense like "we're going to win the treble" when he was first hired. Idiots.
Burki and Handanovic are pretty even, and that's with Inter's keeper being older too I'd say Inter's defence of Skriniar, Godin and De Vrij to be better than Dortmund's Hummels, Weigl, and Akanji Midfield is honestly pretty even between the two selections who played Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez are two forwards that Dortmund wished they had. When Reus doesn't play, they just aren't that good and especially not at this level.
not surprising because false 9 is dumb as hell, a player can be deployed there but doesn't mean they got the striker package/mentality in them.
