so more Frenchies to the league and more low league strikers to 1BL, that seems to be the trend this Summer.

getting Thuram and L.Nmecha also means that Gladbach has 0 interest in integrating any strikers from U19/II.

once again this shows what I keep saying, it's all about the experience even if it's low level league. And that's the issue with German strikers who insist on staying in Germany which is harder to breakthrough when no experience.

LMAO, like I said last Summer, Stuttgart's transfers are shit.

VfB Stuttgart: good luck and millions of flops

Ascacíbar will be lucky in 2017/18
The balance of the players who have come from abroad also breaks through, even after the promotion. While Santiago Ascacíbar immediately proved to be an asset and even managed to make the leap into the Argentine national team, Chadrac Akolo and Anastasios Donis flashed their potential again and again with no consistency.

The Brazilian full-back Ailton, however, came only to five missions and was last awarded for a year and a half. Last Orel Mangala was awarded, but now returns from Hamburger SV and after strong performances in the past season is considered the bearer of hope.

Only Kabak proves to be a real reinforcement
When VfB Stuttgart announced the commitment of three international top talents in the summer of 2018 with Pablo Maffeo, Nicolas Gonzalez and Borna Sosa, the transfer policy of the Swabians was widely praised. However, Maffeo became a total flop, which was partially suspended in the second half and was completely out of action.

Sosa was also a disappointment in twelve appearances. Gonzalez came after all to 30 games, but acted several times very unhappy and scored only two goals.

In the winter, Ozan Kabak finally came in, who proved directly as a reinforcement, but also could not prevent the descent. After all, VfB can now sell the Turkish central defender, who came for eleven million euros from Galatasaray Istanbul, now with a slight plus. The exit clause Kabaks should be at 15 million euros.

lol only Kabak was a real success the others who cost like $60+M were giant flops.

more and more proof that Nagelsmann screwed D.Otto (and even Hack) as well. So a player impresses in 1BL in limited game time for a club, gets praised but gets sent on loan to 2BL for the following season.

yet WHY is Hoff so obsessed with getting 99 strikers???? Same age group as Otto? Now seems like another Brit and one with 0 pro experience will have a medical with Hoff.
    https://www.skysports.com/football/...taylor-crossdale-closes-in-on-hoffenheim-move

I mean this Brit is like the 3rd-4th 99 striker from abroad linked with a move to Hoff. Seriously F these German clubs....

at this rate, 1BL will become Eredivisie 2.0 but worse that that since Eredivisie at least develops for real their domestic players.

Even those Frenchies actually develop their own players in French League. That's why they export a shit ton of players

Germany is becoming the development league for all of Europe and for outside as well since there are no fricking restrictions either. If your EU you can easily move and non-EU=must be 18 and older to play in Germany at any level. And of course it as well with a disregard for domestic players.

and that 1BL has been trash in Europe is not surprising given that the league is a dev one and one that also takes in garbage players as well.

Depressing. Nagelsmann should be the beacon of German youth players. He was starting as head coach from very young age. And he spend his playing time, training as a coach, opportunity to coach from humble village in Germany. If even Nagelsmann doesn't care about giving opportunity to German youth player, then what to say for other coach especially the foreign coach...

Nagelsmann was hit with the success bug. A lot of guys become like that in longer run. They lose interest in dev and more interested in winning and results. The biggest F You from Nagelsmann to Otto and Hack was Hoff playing feeder club to Arsenal and loaning in Nelson, a player who had 16 pro games prior to his loan. A player with 0 interest in Hoff or 1BL. And the focus was more on him than the German players. Than of course Nagelsmann was obsessed with making Europe, which he failed to achieve and bombed in Europe too.

that's one reason I'm not too keen on foreign coaches because a lot of them don't give a shit about German/domestic. In fact a lot of them seem to want to bring in players from their previous club/league. Saw a recent post about how the Union Berlin Swiss coaches Urs Fisher has no trust whatsoever in any Union Youth player....no trust means no interest to integrate.

YIKES, cannot imagine what Nagelsmann does at RB Leipzig with no II team. A club still at 0 min for youth players from within the club. Will that change with him?????

Louis van Gaal would like to have some word with you :D

Seriously though, I know lots of people making fun of him, but without him, would Thomas Muller, Lahm, Schweini, Badstuber (Bads career might be not really pans out, but its more on his continuously injury) become core of German NT?

I like Van Gaal it's why I said most. Van Gaal actually gave a shit about youth dev. Notice last time Bayern had youth breaking through was a under such a coach.

on the other hand, Kovac giving youth chances, LOL. And although he's German-Croatian, nothing seems to really make him German. So many people at Bayern call him Croatian as if he isn't even German. He's one of those coaches that won't have the time to integrate anyone due to pressure to preform.

I mean Heynckes actually played a ton of youth. Too bad that he couldn't have stayed a few years more.

A club like Schalke with a good youth program should be getting Van Gaal

A club like Schalke is joining the list of 1BL clubs that are playing feeder club, taking in a Brit RB on loan with no buying option.

And they brought in Wagner. I'm curious to see how he does at Schalke, where there will be tons of pressure to perform more than some no name club who've never been to EPL before his arrival.

PS Van Gaal retired this year, he's almost 70.
