According to reports, Barca see Luka Jovic as a future successor to Luis Suarez http://www.fussballtransfers.com/pr...chfolger-soll-aus-der-bundesliga-kommen_99719
Ozan Kabak is expected to complete a medical tomorrow before finalizing a 12 Mio move to Stuttgart Reports say that Bayern are involved in facilitating this transfer and could be a defined future purchaser of Kabak. Similar scenario to Gnabry's move to Werder and then Bayern after http://www.fussballtransfers.com/bu...ayern-in-stuttgart-neuzugang-verwickelt_99764
so Stuttgart keeps spending fortunes on youth players, that's what already getting close to $70M on these players this season....
Stuttgart also interested now in Polish striker Karol Swiderski http://www.fussballtransfers.com/bundesliga/vfb-stuttgart-reschke-denkt-an-swiderski_99766
Michail Ponomarew is looking to invest up to 30 million Euro into 1. FC Kaiserslautern. He's the same Russian investor that is at KFC Uerdingen https://www.swr.de/sport/fussball/1...r-ponomarew-will-beim-fck-einsteigen-100.html
the answer to that is no. They spend something like $50+M in Summer and now supposedly another $12M. and the result for spending these fortunes was being in relegation zone. These kids didn't do much either. the one German youngster they got was for cheap and they then send him on loan for 2 season in 2BL. although after being criticized for their lack of promotion from their own famous Academy they promoted 2 youngsters. And based on their comments they want to go back to their own youth promotion like in the past. But that seems like it could wait another 1-2 years.

there is the official announcement for the long term signing for Stuttgart. Juni 2024. #MERHABAOZAN pic.twitter.com/bvUEUeDOTg— VfB Stuttgart (@VfB) January 17, 2019
Another defensive loss for Dortmund as Toprak is out for several weeks. They're already missing Zagadou and Akanji. The new signing Balerdi is currently participating in a youth tournament https://www.90min.de/posts/6273747-borussia-dortmund-oemer-toprak-faellt-wohl-wochenlang-aus
Leandro Trossard is another candidate to replace Thorgan Hazard at Gladbach https://m.bild.de/sport/fussball/fu...versuch-bei-trossard-59587698.bildMobile.html
that was fast, Winter break is already over and 2nd half of the season starts on Friday. Although 2BL seems to start 2 weeks from now.
Maffeo's been a bust so far for Stuttgart could be loaned out 2nd half. He cost Stuttgart $10M too. "At VfB Stuttgart, one looks with concern at the development of Pablo Maffeo. As the 'Stuttgarter Nachrichten' write, there are considerations to lend the young right-back for the second half to another club. At VfB, Maffeo's chances of getting regular time are bad. After a mixed first half of the right-back disappointed according to the sheet in the training camp in La Manga across the board. Last season, Maffeo was awarded by Manchester City to FC Girona. In La Liga he drew positive attention, which caused the VfB to invest ten million euros." http://www.fussballtransfers.com/nachricht/vfb-geht-maffeo-wieder_99837
As Bremen brought in one Austrian another leaves. Welcome to #effzeh, Florian #Kainz! The 26-year-old has signed for 1. FC Köln from @werderbremen_en. Kainz has signed a contract until 2022. We’re happy to have you here, Flo! 🔴⚪️ pic.twitter.com/uBKM8lQIbf— 1. FC Cologne (@fckoeln_en) January 18, 2019 guys like Kainz and Geis know that very good chance Koln get promoted.
even with Zuber and Esswein (neither are good), Stuttgart are still losing 2-0. meanwhile with Rode, Frankfurt have 3 Germans in XI. Although on loan Trapp seems headed out in Summer as Frankfurt said that Ronnow will be #1. While Rode is also on loan, seems likely if he impresses they'll buy him.
Pretty big risk taken by HSV on this decision. Jansen doesn't even have experience in management so to go straight to being club President is a huge jump Real Betis want to sign Matheus Cunha on loan from RB Leipzig, according to Diario Sevilla. #RBL— Ronan Murphy (@swearimnotpaul) January 19, 2019
I do wonder if Jansen will succeed in fixing the mess that is Hamburg (still hate that Arp is a such a poor place for dev at such a young age, he could have left if it wasn't for the relegation). I've watched a good amount of Hamburg this season in 2BL and the team is still bad, unimpressive, barely manages to win games and pretty terrible youth integration too.
Werder Bremen would like to sign Marco Friedl permanently from Bayern [@cfbayern] pic.twitter.com/TsyDebPZKz— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) January 19, 2019 not sure why Bremen brought Beste in Summer and also having Jacobsen, when they'll just sign Friedl whos on loan. Very unlikely that the 2 youngsters will get chances when counting these 3+Augustinsson (1st choice) that's 4 LBs for the club. Friedl also barely played for Bremen this season and was a complete disaster for Bremen vs Bayer Leverkusen in that 6-2 loss.
Dawid Kownacki's move to Fortuna Düsseldorf is imminent and will be finalized in the next few days. Loan for remainder of the season with a purchase option for 7 Mio afterwards http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/...vier-siege-im-ruecken-kownacki-im-anflug.html
Top 3 in the BL right now between Dortmund, Bayern, and Gladbach. Realistically it's going to be a two horse race to the end among the top 2. I don't think Gladbach will catch up, but they should finish in 3rd barring any major slip ups or injuries. Battle for the 4th spot and CL consideration is pretty close though. Leipzig, Frankfurt, and Wolfsburg all separated by only a span of up to 3 points and they still play later today and could leap ahead potentially. So those are the current 4-6 spot options. But I feel Wolfsburg is the least convincing side among here and may possibly slip out. The 7th spot and final EL consideration is also pretty open. Right now the table order goes: Hoffenheim, Bremen, Hertha, Leverkusen, Mainz who are all separated by 1 point right now. Hertha are still in a game currently and may go ahead. From this bunch, objectively I'd say Hoffenheim and Leverkusen would be the most competitive in EL. Although the risk with them is Nagelsmann leaving the end of the season and it's still uncertain of who takes over after. Schalke in 14th spot right now, but only 6 points off of the EL pack. They do play later today. Although, they've been struggling and still have yet to breakthrough in the league. It's going to be a tough climb for them ether way.
And Hertha go up 2-1 vs FCN. Duda is having a pretty good season for them, scoring his 8th of the season.
