Steinhaus has a Third League match. Nice to see Stark back (twice) as video assisant. And SV, whatever that means, surely cannot be present at the stadium.
Based on the assignments above I'd think that the SV is likely a position that's at the Bundesliga "video central command". Perhaps Supervisor of Video?
I love that it's apparently no big deal in Germany to referee at the highest level but also be a doctor of whatever.
Brych has a PhD in Law. Matthias Jöllenbeck is a Medical Doctor Robert Kampka is a Medical Doctor in the military.
I just think it's incredible they can do both. Seems much more rare over here. I only know of Elias Bazakos, for sure, in recent years. Anyone else?
What kind of doctor are you (besides "really good")? Has your expertise been called on during/after a match? Years ago I "managed" a coed rec team (paperwork exercise, mostly). I was pleased when a couple joined the team and the guy was a doctor. Sounded good to have an actual medical professional on the team in case somebody got hurt during the game. However, he was an eye doctor...I then imagined a situation where one of our players injured a knee or ankle and Bob was trying to help by pulling out an eye chart...
Your eye doctor at least had an MD. If a player is in urgent need of my expertise in molecular biology (Ph.D.) then we're into some serious sh!t.

Steinhaus has a Second League match. I guess she'll make her Bundesliga debut next week.
I get the feeling Zwayer will be a VAR more than what might be perceived as his fair share. He's the closet thing there is to an expert so far, and I'm sure the DFB will want to give him as much practice as possible heading into Russia.
Interesting scene in Cologne-Hamburg. In the 50th minute referee Felix Brych halted play and was shown hobbling to the sideline. Freak twist of ankle or knee. He was no longer able to continue and after a roughly eight minute wait fourth official Storks has taken over as center ref. His first action of business one minute after the restart was to send off Hamburg's Mergim Mavraj for a second bookable foul. No idea who's now the fourth official. fwiw... Legendary German referee Walter Eschweiler was shown in the stands.

According to the press, Steinhaus was flawless in her debut, and her great advantage play led to the opening goal of the game. Well done!
I didn't see her signal advantage. Maybe I missed it, maybe she called it out, maybe she didn't see it as a foul. In any case, it was an awesome moment - great goal!
And from the highlights I saw with Wynalda doing commentary, he seemed to do a lot of mansplaining in the game. I've only seen a couple of short clips, but a friend of mine told me that he was doing it for much of the match.
http://www.fifa.com/fifa-tournament...teful-for-bundesliga-opportunity-2907521.html is titled "Steinhaus: I'm delighted and grateful for Bundesliga opportunity."
Yeah, I'm watching the replay now and it's pretty sad. In a nutshell, Wynalda said on multiple occasions women should referee more men's games because then the male players won't be as tempted to use profanity and to utter derogatory remarks. So we rely on men fearing some social punishment for what could be seen as chauvinist behavior, rather than simply asking folks respect the game and the officials in general? What I've watched so far was a well called game in my opinion and would like to see her continue to get these assignments and more, and I hope this will be a good entrance for other qualified female referees. Listening to Wynalda thus far with his "women reffed matches are better because they force men to be gentlemen" argument just seems off, and I feel dirty. Considering muting this so I can actually concentrate on the soccer.
He's such a sexist DB it's unbelievable, except it is, because he's been, as @ManiacalClown so aptly described, a "cockbag," for years.
