Supposedly suspended for his NYC shenanigans including getting someone fired because he covered his own ass. I've been saying for years now, dude is a full blown diva and asshole now. That innocent choirboy is long gone.

Sad for Jona, but good for Charly. As long as he's healthy, he shouldn't leave the senior NT.

He was with the U22 who he hasn't played with and who need to be preparing for the qualifiers. The Olympics are right around the corner and it's the big tournament for 2022 and I kind of see the typical "noticing when it's too late" thing in Mexico.

Why are we still talking about Vela? Also, how is Pizarro not as good as Vela yet? Pizarro plays in a better league and is doing well with the NT. Vela is a non factor here.

One glaring weaknesses is we have lacked depth, is it me or are we starting to round out the team pretty well? I was thinking about the starters and the new guys who are stepping up in this cycle, plus the young prospects who will hopefully pan out. Take a look at the wingers Chucky and Tecatito are locks, but then you have guys like Pizzaro, and Antuna who could start on any day, and then 3rd options like Alvarado and Pineda that can be serviceable if they had to be.

Agreed about still talking about Vela... However, Pizarro still isn't at his level. Pizarro is great but Vela is easily the most talented attacking player Mexico has had in the last 20 years... Pizarro needs to go to Europe ASAP while he still has his prime ahead of him...

Let Pizarro play his Club WC in December. He’s owed that at least because he should have gone with Chivas last year

Once that’s out of the way hopefully he’ll ship off to Europe. I can see Pizarro succeeding in Spain, Netherlands or Portugal

Maybe he'll use the CWC to rekindle European attention.

You couldn't be more wrong brother. Vela is in a lower league yes but he is absolutely dominating said lower league. Pizarro (I'm a fan) for all his greatness has yet to dominate any league or tournament at that type of level. Even Cheech and Chucky "dominated" Liga MX before moving on. Pizarro never has reached that level. So both Vela (due to league) and Pizarro (untapped potential) still have more to give, but will they?
