and it cuts both ways the competition is also not at their final form so if a player/team has precocious talent and meets players/teams of late bloomers, teasing out trajectory becomes that much harder the fact that this is hard is proven out by the results of actual professional scouts and managers making all kinds of wrong decisions with real money on the line
Even guys like Araujo Andrade and villaluz have had a decent amount of time in primera. More than most. Aldrete has played at a pretty high level for his entire career. Was el hobbit on the radar at all in 2005? He's another player from that generation that did well. It's a smear.
I think a player like Guti succeeding at psv can do more for the reputation of the league than Chuki.
i was thinking that mexico youth tend to be on the precocious side of things they've overachieved at the youth levels compared to sr team results that may be on the top flight opportunities they get, or lack thereof, but it could also just be the ceiling of those guys

Tab Ramos has won the battle with Mexico over 19 year old Leon left back Edwin Lara who previously played for Mexico’s U-17 team but has filed for a switch and is on the 35 man provisional roster for the US U-20 WCQ/Concacaf Championship tournament— ESPN Drew (@AmericaSoccerFC) October 9, 2018
we might face the Argies https://en.onefootball.com/mexico-to-face-argentina-in-a-pair-of-november-friendlies/
Pollo Briseño should be the one but I have no idea why nobody in Mexico rates him. Dude is beast at Feirense.
He was barely average at best while in LigaMX and an absolute traffic cone with the youth national teams. He seems to have improved and all credit to him but he needs to show he can keep improving in Portugal in order to be considered for the National Team. It also goes without saying that Mexico is nowhere near as pragmatic as his club when it comes to playing style. Cesar Montes and Carlos Vargas are more in line with the profile of Central Defenders we usually see on the National Team.
honest question - what do you mean by this? that MXNT is wed to a setup and will pick the best players for that setup instead of picking the best players and implementing a setup that maximizes their talent? do you mean style in regards to formation, or style regarding direct play vs possession?
Are you still on this? He IS improving and should get a shot at the NT by now. If the likes of Alanis and Ayala has been getting called up, Briseno should get a look at. Jordan frkin Silva has gotten 2 caps in the past 2 years. I can name at least a dozen of players (defenders and players out of his position) that got called up and shouldn't even sniff the NT. Some of y'all tend to look the other way when those bums get called up but when it comes to Briseno, it's "he needs to improve before he gets called up" BS. F that.

I love how I'm indifferent, least not appalled at the notion. I've been a fan of his before he joined Santos. I'm glad he's getting noticed.
Yeah I wouldn't be opposed to it. Aside from Vega and Jimenez, I'm not liking our options up front. He'd add some much needed depth.
