No, he does not have Polish citizenship, nor does he plan to get it. He plays for Jagiellonia, and is doing quite well, but does not score many goals. There is another Brazilian playing for Jagiellonia, Thiego Cionek, who has Polish roots and there are rumors that he will get Polish citizenship, but not Bruno. As to why he did not play for half a year in 2008, I don't know.
