Well said. What makes OZ's remarks truly insipid is his self-serving post hoc indication that it was he, the all-knowing OZ, -- that tipped Bruce to Clint's insurmountable mental problems resulting in his reduced playing time at the World Cup.

OZ is the one who needs acheckupfromtheneckup.

His average was a mere 3/1000 of a point lower. It's true that Rivaldo played roughly 600 minutes, but the idea that Mathis was hurting the team or not playing as well as expecting is absurd. Mathis played at the World Class level for the Nats as he always has, post-injury, pre-injury, etc.

"After Clint Mathis' well-taken goal against South Korea, ITV's Terry Venables compared Mathis' technical mastery to (no joke) Rivaldo"

    Huh

I agree. The only Euro clubs buying are the real power teams like Real. Many teams are letting players go on free transfer to save money. The Italian teams are having serious money problems. This is the reason the few offers for US players have been unreasonable. We may have to wait till next year or later to see our players in the Euro leauges.
