Here's confirmation from the club: http://www.fleetwoodtownfc.com/news/article/usa-fleetwood-town-moore-springthorpe-2298996.aspx
Snip: The Swiss-American goalkeeper has been training with the club since the New Year following his move from North Carolina University, and having turned down opportunities in the MLS to effectively trial with us, we have now arranged a contract after he impressed. Alexander said of his capture. 'Brendan's a very good goalkeeper. We had him in on trial and he did very well in training, so we thought it was a good opportunity to bring him in and compete with the other goalkeepers we have here. He's a young goalkeeper with a lot of potential and is very highly thought of in America, so we're glad to have him on board and we'll see how he progresses.' http://www.fleetwood.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=551019#ixzz3TEhqgv91
Was beginning to wonder when confirmation would finally come out. Maybe they were waiting for him to get his Swiss passport to make things official.
Moore played a key part in the development side's 2-1 win against Liverpool this week. http://www.fleetwoodtownfc.com/news/article/development-squad-fleetwood-town-liverpool-2422035.aspx
Moore was on the bench for the league finale today and was warming up at one point when the starting GK was shaken up a bit. However, his debut will have to wait until next season.
Snip: American goalkeeper Brendan Moore has agreed a contract to remain at Highbury until the end of the 2015/16 campaign. The shot stopper signed for the Cod Army at the end of February and had been training with the club since the turn of the year. Moore is likely to be Town’s main reserve option next season with Scott Davies out of favour and young stand-in Mason Springthorpe among the 14 players released at the end of the season. http://www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk/s...own-s-home-international-mclaughlin-1-7284912
While I suppose he could have negotiated a new deal for a shorter term, the word I got back in early February was that he had signed a 2.5-year contract.
A little late but Moore has been at Fleetwood since February of this year. A UNC alum, he went overseas after his senior year but was sidelined with a fractured ankle back in August. I'm not sure what the recovery time on that is but he's still out two months later. Various quotes from here... ...and here, published August 4th. He was recently joined by Aleks Gogic, another American goalkeeper.
Loaned to Torquay United for a month: http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/35789916 Torquay's other two goalkeepers, Grant Fisher or Scott Corderoy, are on non-contract deals after arriving from local non-league sides and neither has played a first-team game for the Gulls.

Snip: New on-loan American goalkeeper Brendan Moore, who had made an impressive debut in last Saturday's 0-0 draw at Aldershot, gave another assured performance on his first appearance at the Launa Windows Stadium, pulling off the save of the game to deny Halifax substitute Sam Walker eight minutes from time. "He is a very composed young man," said Nicholson of the 23-year-old Fleetwood goalkeeper. "When we were looking for a replacement for (injured) Dan Lavercombe, we really had experience in mind, but Brendan plays like he is experienced anyway." Nicholson added: "Every point we pick up is a valuable one. http://www.torquayheraldexpress.co....oping-Nathan/story-28935156-detail/story.html
Snip: ON-LOAN American goalkeeper Brendan Moore – he hasn't conceded a goal in his first three games – says he would like to see Torquay United's 'Great Escape' bid through to the finish. Started in net for Torquay United against Eastleigh. it's 0-1 Eastleigh at the 70th so if his clean sheet was still going up until this point it is now over.
