Orebro and Hammarby... My two favorite Swedish clubs... fond memories of Charlie Davies and Bedoya doing their thing back in the day.

Played 90 minutes today in Örebro SK's 2-1 victory in the season opener against Jönköpings Södra. Apparently the ball struck his hand but fortunately a penalty was not called.

Orebro kept a clean sheet, winning 1-nil.

Anybody know if he's getting interest from bigger leagues, like the lowlands, by now? He's been starting for a while there now and is a 22 year old CB. Also has scored a couple of goals, and possesses versatility playing right-back at times. That's usually a recipe for an eventual promotion somewhere. Although with Bedoya and Davies, they were internationals first.

Looking at Orebro's recent list, it's not exactly rife with sexy transfers. A lot of passing around the Nordic countries, with the occasional second tier league in Europe sprinkled in. Reinforces how much scouting in the huge world of football is localized and systemic. Might behoove them to try Austria or Denmark. Their transfers are substantially more attractive, looking at their list, even though there's not much separating these countries caliber-wise, especially Denmark and Sweden. Brondby, for example, would be a strategic next move. In Denmark + the Europa League group stage. More eyes on him if he wants to keep moving up the European ladder.

Kinda like how Clarence Goodson went. 2nd division Norway to being among the best defenders in the top division then a move to Brondby where he was captain for a year or 2. Almost made a move to a mid-table Turkish club. Around 2012/13 (with Gooch injured and DeMerit retired from the NT and Ream's weak form) he was part of our starting centerbacks.

Played 90 today in a 4-2 Orebro victory over Norrkoping.
And Orebro now slips ahead of Mix's Goteborg in the standings.
Picked up the assist in Orebro's 3rd goal.
