Chicago get the rights to Engen. To my knowledge she has expressed no intentions to un-retire. She is only 30 years old, could be useful as a veteran presence.
Don't know what the Utah roster looks like but one have to think it's inevitable that Corsie get's traded to them right? We have a glut of CBs now: Barnes, Corsie, McNabb, Bauer, Oyster, Westphal, Averbuch
True but these are all players that should be starting. I would love it if Averbuch was used more as a DM then a CB.

Let the competition for roster spots begin! Aside from Orlando and maybe Utah and Portland, most teams are well over the player limit.
I don't know why I get my hopes up for these things. Of the two teams I follow, Sermanni was too busy to bother adding players and Houston too incompetent to do a credible job. It was Christmas and I got a rock....again.
G: Williams, Betos D: Barnes, Corsie, Averbuch, Catley, McNabb, Oyster, Westphal, *Jimenez, *Haran M: Fishlock, Utsugi, Long, Yanez, Bauer, Andrews, Addo F: Taylor, Rapinoe, Kawasumi, Crummer, Dallstream, Spencer I count 24. Granted not all of these have signed contracts yet.
You missed Maddie Bauer. The four Breakers selected do not count towards the cap so without the draft picks they are at 19.
I listed Bauer as a mid because they have so many defenders already! Huh, I missed that the Boston players do not count against cap. So if teams can afford it, they can sign more than 20 players this year?
This season will be fascinating. So much player movement has occurred. So many new combinations between players who never were teammates before. With only 9 clubs, rosters will have lots of quality and depth.
I see now. You are missing Mathias. And yes this was all about if the teams could afford it. Which makes MLS backed Orlando opting out curious
Do the Breaker players not counting against the roster only hold true for this upcoming season? Or does it hold true further into future seasons?
The dispersal drafted players not counting against roster and salary cap limits is for this year only. Teams needing an international spot for a dispersal drafted player get that spot, I believe also for this year only.
WNY tried this and it still took them a year to gel their young team. Washington might have the same waiting period.
