He played for Goias EC team, yes. But in 2003 he wasn't as a first team player, he was a backup player and didn't play so much. Today it's his first game for my team so I wish him good luck and hope he plays good.

    Details

He played at Cruzeiro Esporte Clube, Udinese Calcio S.p.A., Sporting Clube de Portugal and Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto-Alegrense.

Apparently he has eight caps, some Olympic appearances, and played in the Confederations Cup in 1999.

I think we can now stop the reports on Aílton since he has sold his services to the Qatar FA.

Info for Derlei from UEFA's site.

    Clube
Nascido em São Bernardo do Campo em 1975, Derlei jogou por vários clubes no seu país natal, entre os quais o Madureira e Guarani FC, antes de entrar na SuperLiga ao serviço da UD Leiria a meio da temporada 1999/00.

What about Brazilian players playing for other National Teams.

I saw a piece on Futebol Mundial about a Brazilian that plays in France and is in the Tunisian National Team.

I also saw a game by Dinamo de Triblisi (R. of Georgia) with a Brazilian (Romero).

I had the opportunity of meeting and talking with some Brazilians playing for Naval. One day I had my Yokohama Flugels jersey, and one said he had played for that team.

Plane loads of Brazilians arriving in Portugal. Teams are signing 4, 5 Brazilians. CD Santa Clara is talking of Portuguese citizenships "en masse".

    Rivaldo and other brazilians

Does any one know were rivaldo is currently playing? i know ther was a lot of speculation about where he would go but haven't heard anything lately. Also, does Denilson still play at Real Betis? I went to a few of there games and he didn't play, and was wondering were he now is. It's difficult to get news on him these days as he's not much of a "big name".Also, what about Fabio Rochemback, Amoroso, and Deivid, where are they currently? Sorry, i have not kept up on many of these players and am just wondering what they are up to lately.

    Re: Rivaldo and other brazilians

Rivaldo may join Sao Paulo. He was close to signing with Bolton in England as well. With Rivaldo, you never know...

Denilson was hurt off and on for Betis last year. Its great you saw some games there- its an awesome place. I just hope Betis decides to buy a defender or two before the Denilson/Joaquin era is done, and possibly a finisher. I'm sick of seeing brilliant flowing football and then -choke-.
