Did you get a chance to see the Chape game? Ze Ricardo was another train wreck yesterday. Barely squeaked by a 10 man Bahia.

Yea i saw both. The Bahia one pissed me off. I thought the second yellow against Bahia cb Fonseca ? Was complete shit. Then the team plays so stagnant , just feels like marcio araujo has the ball 85% of their possession. Defense still looked extremely vulnerable in both matches even with Zes defensive play. And I hate to beat a dead horse but flamengo might have the best bench I've seen in my years of watching brasileirão but it doesn't even make a difference. You give dorival atletico mg or flamengo he's winning the title.

Would have been interesting if they didn't sell some of their younger players like Neres...

Late reaction but that Santos x Sampa game was fire but we all know both teams are stagnated. And the bad part about playing corinthians for Ponte is not the inevitable ass kicking, it is the fact that there is always a chance to win, Ponte played much better the first half until corinthians got their goal. This is the Tite formula , only create 3 or 4 chances and win. Rest of the lg is pretty damn offensive when it isn't 4 games in 11 days type scheduling. Jo and Romero will start sucking but it won't matter. There's enough on the bench like I said earlier.

I think it's a matter of time before they get exposed some. But what helps them is they aren't in any other competitions. That's key in the league. And they have a 9 point cushion on second place and Fla hasn't been deserving of being in second place IMO. The two CBs and Cassio have been fundamental so far and Jadson has picked it up as of late. But I'm with you that Romero, Rodriguinho, Jo are going to come back to normal and cost them some points.

Flamengo hasn't been close to second best team by the performances. I still think Palmeiras, Flamengo, and atletico can challenge but all three have issues. Then Santos can't defend a lick. Nilmar pretty much sums up their transfer policy of the last 4 years.

They are also in the Sudamericana. They are playing solid. Time to eat crow. I am.

But we are still beating them today. I don't know how but we are.

Other teams are in more competitions or more "serious" competitions. Palmeiras and Gremio have the Copa do Brasil and Libertadores. Same with Galo. Fla is in the Copa do Brasil and Sulamericana. When push comes to shove, Corinthians will send their reserves to the Sulamericana.

I don't think they have been sending reserves to Sudamericana so far and are taking it seriously. Actually they used some reserves in the game vs Botafogo in the Brasileirao. We'll see.

They've only had 3 games in it. Still too early in the Brasileirao for them to send reserves. But if the schedule gets more grueling, I bet they will.

Compare that to the game vs Patriotas, where they used some reserves....
