Dia do fico? “Hoje sai a decisão”, afirma Adson Batista sobre permanência de Marcelo Cabo https://t.co/7mboDWXglP pic.twitter.com/fBQo2wpnUZ— Sistema Sagres (@sistemasagres) December 2, 2016
Wow, Cruzeiro partially turns around a dreadful season in which we battled against relegation, and at least conquers a Sudamericana spot, while denying Corinthians a Libertadores spot, in a gorgeous 3-2 victory. Not bad. This, and Atlético MG having failed to win any trophies this season, makes it all less bitter for me. Inter got relegated.
In the main world leagues, only 40 teams have never been relegated to that nation's premier league. Internanacional's fall makes of it 40 down from 41. My Cruzeiro is one of them, together with Flamengo, Santos, São Paulo, and Chapecoense (the latter in the elite division since 2014). It's interesting to look at the list: https://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lista_de_clubes_de_futebol_que_nunca_foram_rebaixados
Rever voted as the best CB in the league. He performed better than I expected, but let's not get carried away.... http://espn.uol.com.br/noticia/6541...al&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer Gabriel Jesus won the Bola de Ouro.
Gabriel Jesus é o Bola de Ouro! E a premiação completa da #BoladePrataESPN ficou assim: pic.twitter.com/6KSe3oF3Ct— Gian Oddi (@gianoddi) December 12, 2016 I knew this team would be filled with Palmeiras players. Does anyone have an issue with any? I'm not sure if I would have picked Moises. I would have tried to include Marinho or Scarpa or even Diego Souza. I thought Muralha had a better impact than Jailson, but it's hard to argue against Jailson seeing they didn't lose any games with him. Jean? As far as the other selections, I don't like the Rever choice, but there aren't really any alternatives. I would have picked Jorge over Fabio Santos.
Marinho and Showza should both be included. Moises and Dudu out. Tche tche is either a sign of how bad volante play is in this lg or if it is the palmeiras bias. They got the manager right tho.
Marinho might have been the most influential player after Gabriel Jesus this year. I know there is a small club bias but his season was one of the most enjoyable I've seen for a winger/ss since bernard.
Volante play was really bad. Arao's form dipped some in the last quarter of the season, but you could probably make a case for him. Cuca was the right pick, but I think Dorival is right up there in the discussion.
Diego Souza essentially kept Sport up this season. They'd be right down there with Santa Cruz. He basically owns Recife at this point.
Yea when Wendel comes to a club you watch and are like damn he's pretty tidy that's when you know you've been watching bad volante play. Someone in real life was coming at me about the brasileirao and I pretty much owned him but the volante position was where he got me. I fukin named Dudu cearense as a good volante lmao. I do give some sympathy to these volantes , they have to run an insane amount cause the deep lines and this season is so long and draining on their legs regardless. as he should.
and one thing that kind of sucks in this lg is how big signings only seem geared towards the libertadores.
