Brandon McDonald signs w/ Thai Premier League side, Chainat FC

Always thought he was a solid MLS player. Biggest problem seemed to be too-frequent aimless clearances, particularly headed ones that never seemed to end the danger.

Bit of a Ljungskimerica thing going on there with him, Horwath and Nichols. They also have an English guy named Dom Furness who played college ball in Texas.

 

I would expect McDonald to do really well in the Swedish second division.

 

Superettan in general has alot of americans right now, according Transfermarkt they're the most popular foreign nationality this season.

 

McDonald was DNP in week one, came on as a late sub in week two, and has started the next two games. Hopefully, that bodes well.

 

Ljungskile released McDonald on June 30th since he was having injury problems.

 

I liked him in MLS. Best wishes to him.

 

he was really good for DC back in 2012, as I recall. It's too bad he hasn't been able to stay healthy since then.

McDonald is now with FA Penang in the Malaysian Super League.
