Too funny not to post: http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/socce...t-dempsey-michael-bradley-185952424--sow.html
You have to be a certain age, and likely a baseball fan, to appreciate this one. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chief_Noc-A-Homa
Yes, sir! Not of that era but if there's one game I know just as much about it's baseball. I credit my Dad for both games!
That would actually by one of the funniest things they've ever printed if they could convince me it was on purpose.
Nothing like a extending a little historical sports racism & cultural appropriation for old times sake.
Somewhat related to Roma - Liverpool Liverpool close to signing Borini from Roma http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18773700
I call bull, Liverpool are linking everyone to their club who's come within a 5 mile radius of Rodgers at one stage. So basically we would just give Liverpool Borini and make no profit.
Seems like Bradley's transfer is getting more difficult. Greco doesn't want to go to Chievo and it's thrown everything off. So unless Chievo and Roma can come to an agreement on alternatives it's possible it can fall through.
SMH! I bet I could swim from the Atlantic ocean to Spain and ride a bike from Spain to Roma and the deal would still be unfinished.
We'll see, Sabatini in his press conference today still suggest there's things holding up the deals with Bradley and the Greek kid.
Sabatini: "We're considering Liverpool Borini bid" And from that same piece: The deal for Bradley has virtually been completed, while Tachtsiridis has already had a medical at Roma.
Yeah I posted that before his press conference. Still the reported price allegedly is €15m euros which is off what Liverpool have apparently bid. He said it's being considered but it's not completed like the majority of the English press seem to think it is, their at least £4m of our valuation. JMO If we sell Borini that will be horrendously stupid. Apparently this will fund the Destro deal which Sabatini/Zeman rate higher than Borini you'd think because we absolutely don't have to sell him. He doesn't cost us much and we'd be replacing him with a player that is valued near the same figure as Borini. I trust Sabatini but that's a huge gamble, we'd be replacing a player we know can score goals in our system with a player we think can score more goals in our system. I like Destro and he just might have a higher ceiling then Borini but I have faith in Borini. They've been saying the deal is virtually completed for days now, but both sides keep saying they can't come to an agreement on the details i.e. which players are going each way. I'm just saying to me there's still a possibility that either side can walk away from the deal, especially Chievo if they aren't happy with the players being offered. I still think it's 75% likely to happen but that 25% makes me nervous because it's subject to the attitudes of several people.
