Sorry for the late reply. I literally signed up for a 7 day trial of ESPN+ a few hours before the Pacman fight. I will probably use the rest of the weekly trial to watch their catalogue of all time boxing fights. Great win by Pacquaio. He looked liked the Pacman of a decade ago when his killer instinct to get KO's was still very much intact and had the speed and power to deliver them. Mathysee could probably have kept on fighting after the 3 knockdowns, but he got frustrated and was mentally defeated by the relentless Pacman and quit instead.
I think Lomachenko or Khan would be the next best options for Manny. Spence or Crawford might just be too big and skilled for him at his age.
There are some good boxing documentaries on ESPN plus apparently including the 30 for 30 specials. I am watching the Leonard-Duran stories as well as the Tyson-Holyfield ones at the moment.
Apparently ESPN+ is also covering the World Lacrosse 2018 championships where the Philippines is competing. They won their group beating Czech Republic and Belgium in the preliminary and won the first of 3 intermediate matches against Switzerland, lost today to Israel, but will have their final intermediate match against Italy tomorrow on ESPN+ So I not only get to watch Manny fight with my 7day trial with ESPN+, but get to watch the Philippines in the World Lacrosse championships as well via live streaming. ESPN+ is not a bad sports channel actually.
The Boxing Post @theboxingp The achievements of the legendary Manny Pacquiao. With his latest win against Mathysse for the WBA welterweight title, Manny now has won a championship belt with all 4 recognized world boxing professional sanctioning organizations.
The Pacquaio-Matthysee replay along with the all the postfight interviews and commentary, is now available on ESPN+
Loma's manager insists that Pacquaio has to agree to fight at 135 lbs before they will fight him. I am not sure Pacquaio's camp will agree to this, since they wanted a catchweight. Manny has a naturally smaller frame though. He is not a true welterweight. He really belongs in the junior welterweight division(140 lbs), so it is possible he can still make it at 135, although it would be disadvantageous for Manny to do so. We will see.
I prefer Manny fighting Lomachenko(weight and power advantage), Khan(weak chin resistance), or Thurman(who will be coming out of a long layoff due to injury) where Manny has certain advantages that might help him overcome the age differences at this late stage in his career. I think he should avoid Crawford and Spence.

I scored it 115-113 (7 rounds to 5) to GGG but felt there were quite a few close rounds that could have gone either way. Many in the media appeared to have it close, as well. A bit surprised that none of the judges scored overall for GGG but I have no problem with Canelo winning two of the scorecards. Better (and closer) fight than their first bout.
I thought GGG was going to get that knockdown in the final 3 rounds or it would be called a draw and they go a 3rd time. He really comes into his own while canelo faded. Two judges had it 115-113 in the final going. GGG won that last round. Can't call it a robbery as it was so close but 2 draws would have been a unique trilogy.
Interestingly, the two judges who scored the fight to Canelo gave him the 12th round. Had they given the 12th to Golovkin all three cards would have been 114-114 (!)

Really looking forward to bellew v usyk. Possibly fight od the year material if Bellew has it in him. Watched the press conference today. Usyk is a great guy, so quirky he has you in stiches. Probably my favourite boxer right now. He is planning to fight Joshua in future. If it happens soon i think he can nick it with his boxing skill. If it doesnt happen for a few years Joshua may have improved enough to deal with him and of course has the benefit of a huge size difference.

Looking forward to the Deontay Wilder vs Tyson Fury fight December 1st. It's a pay per view event around the world by the looks of it. I know someone who's personally going to the Staples Center, Los Angeles for the fight. So Wilder is 6f7 with an 83 inch reach and Tyson is 6f9 with an 85 inch reach - if Tyson Fury wants to win this fight he needs movement and head movement. Wilder's stance is proper strange, he stands with his legs apart. I watched the Round Table Face Off chat the other day and Tyson is verbally and mentally better - he won the press conferences by a mile. Who you picking to win and how?
If Fury is fit for 12 rounds, and I believe he will be. Then he embarrasses windmills, jab and move for for first 3/4 of the fight and teaches him about levels. He can stop him from round 9 on when Wilder is gassed but depending on how much so, he could also settle for a very wide points win. Either way he wins and Eddie Hearn will be making all sorts of excuses to protect his cash cow Joshua. The Joe Rogan Fury podcast is a great watch for anyone interested in the struggle he has went through. Shows the mark of the man to come back. Easy work
Hi La Magica - Luis Ortiz showed how to beat Deontay Wilder. He was very near to knocking him out. Looks like the ref was protecting him in that fight. Being 3 years out of the ring with only 2 warm up fights isn't the best preparation but we're going to find out December 1st. Fury on points, rematch at Old Trafford, Man Utd's ground. Yes I feel Eddie Hearn is protecting Anthony Joshua.
