Another early kickoff and another chance to nail down a top 4 spot with a win. I don't care about them, I don't care about us, I don't care about tactics or team selection, just win the bloody game. We all know what will happen if we need a result on the final day...
Yeah, don't eat the lasagna...of course, made some last night and I'm feeling fine, so I take that as a good omen.
I don't think you can find lasagna in Bournemouth. Although if I were Spurs, I would have all food tested by tasters, just like in the medieval days...
If I'm Eddie Howe, I would see blood in the water. Let's not forget they gave Chelsea a tonking earlier in the season. Not at all confident.
Bournemouth are impossible to predict. They could show up and play a blinder or they could be a total shambles.
So the everyone still in the pitch is going to be knackered for Ajax and we’ll have no Son for a must-win game against Everton.
Actually a good rule in football. Anyone who commits violent conduct, opponents get a free hit at them. Oh wait, that's not a rule. Not defending Son, even if it was the least violent violent conduct, but after being sent off for shoving an opponent in the chest to the ground he was... shoved in the chest to the ground.
Smart stuff from Tottenham. Keep Son, Alderweireld, Foyth, Dier and Vertonghen fresh for the second leg against Ajax without being accused of playing a weakened team. #BOUTOT pic.twitter.com/iTkUa8oROS— Sports Retort (@Sports_Retorter) May 4, 2019
This team is a total shambles. There are ways to lose, but that was shocking. Eric Dier needs to be put out to pasture.
After a long day of games at a buddy's house, I check online and say, "Oh... Spurs... " <sigh> We had to do this, didn't we?
We are about 3 quality players from being able to grasp that which we clearly are capable of reaching.
I've have to go searching, but I think we have been saying that for the past 2 or 3 years....that Spurs are about 3 quality players away from greatness.
We stand a good chance of losing Toby and Eriksen and I would say Dier, Trippier, Wanyama, Vorm, Llorente and Janssen are on their way out the door or at least should be. Not that long ago, the first 3 were important players for us and even Mourinho was wlling to pay 40 million quid for Dier. Painful rebuild is right. Since the turn of the year, we have been a right shambles with an 8-1-9 record in the PL (which would be mid-table form) and 9 losses in our last 15 games in all competitions, which are shocking numbers for a club with our quality.
Saw a rumor that Napoli are interested in Trippier. Of course you all were probably already thinking we need a quality right back.
